About
BenJammins, also known as the Founding Father GIF Guy, is a streamer and gaming content creator known for his Benjamin Franklin-inspired persona and cosplay, as well as the catchphrase, "Get jammed on!" The creator began streaming after a clip of him playing Call of Duty: Warzone was shared on Reddit in 2020, and he has since expanded to doing vlogs, ironic hot tub streams and collaborations with creators like Jynxzi, CaseOh, and Amouranth. In early 2025, several internet users noted that GIFs featuring BenJammins recreating viral and notable memes were appearing on their app's built-in GIF function.
Online History
On August 8th, 2020, Redditor /u/Lambeauleap80 posted a video to the subreddit /r/CODWarzone,[1] titled "I couldn't stop laughing at this death chat reaction after faking my death actually worked," gathering over 12,000 upvotes in five years.

BenJammins[2] came forward as the person behind the aforementioned video soon after and began streaming on YouTube,[3] Twitch[4] and Kick [5] soon after. His most viral video was posted to YouTube[6] on October 25th, 2020, and he reached 100,000 subscribers on YouTube in July 2021.
On December 14th, 2022, BenJammins gave an interview with YouTuber[15] Ben Kaluza, recounting his inspiration to start streaming and giving insight on how he came up with the "BenJammins" character. The streamer talks about how his real name is Ben, and how he was inspired to take livestreaming seriously after his Call of Duty: Warzone clip did well on Reddit.
At the 2:15 minute mark, Ben says he took on the Founding Father costume after thinking, "I'm not funnier than anyone else I'm not more entertaining I'm not better at the game than anyone else, [so] what's what's going to differentiate me from the pack."
Date with Amouranth
On November 30th, 2022, streamer BenJammins asked fellow streamer Amouranth out on an "18th-century colonial stream date, horse and buggy included." The tweet[7] gathered over 2,000 likes in three years.

The two livestreamed their date on January 13th, 2023, with X[8] user @JakeSucky gathering over 2,000 likes on a tweet reposting a clip from the event.

Online Presence
BenJammins GIFs
Sometime in January 2023, BenJammins began uploading thousands of GIFs to Giphy, a website with tie-ins to native use on Apple devices, Meta platforms, Google Android devices and Reddit.
This was noted by Redditor /u/drummonkey2010 on February 11th, 2023, when they posted to the subreddit /r/h3h3, asking, "Why does this Ben Franklin guy have so many gifs???"
On November 6th, 2024, NBA player @JaMorant[9] tweeted a BenJammins GIF showing him doing the griddy and making an L with his hands. The post gathered over 31,000 likes in six months.

More Twitter / X users noted BenJammins' presence in their GIF searches, with X[10] user @victorNmoritz writing, "how do you whitewash a druski gif. how is that possible," in reference to BenJammins recreating the Druski Dance.

On March 24th, 2025, X[11] user @M1das_OW2 tweeted, "dude who tf is that," referring to several BenJammins GIFs that had taken over the Gunna Writing Fire GIFs, gathering over 100,000 likes in three weeks.
BenJammins[12] replied to the post shortly after, saying that he created the GIFs for Instagram and Facebook, which use a different GIF platform from Tenor.

On March 25th, Instagram[16] user @ayxdonian posted a Reel, writing, "When a meme lwk funny but this guy gets a hold of it." The post gathered over 460,000 views and 43,000 likes in two weeks.
On April 7th, X[13] user @realasfspudboy tweeted, "Who the fuck is this guy why do I see him everywhere?" gathering over 8,000 likes in two days.

On April 8th, 2025, BenJammins[14] tweeted, "If you ever want a free million views, just take a screenshot of this man and ask 'WhO iS tHiS gUy aNd wHy Do I sEe hIm eVeRyWhEre?'" The post gathered over 1,000 likes in a day.
