Overview

Camdan Jerrard Davis is a purported cult leader who refers to himself as a "werewolf god" who is said to allegedly be responsible for abusing and trafficking hundreds of children. The allegations towards Davis were first shared by YouTuber MamaMax in October 2023 in a video detailing his abuse, which shared clips of Davis and a video of one of his purported victims, Shelby "Spencer" Slayton, urging other creators to spread his story and seek him out. MamaMax continued to share videos about Davis over the following months, with some believing him to be real and others suspecting the character is part of an alternate reality game (ARG) or web series by MamaMax, largely due to the editing of the initial video, despite Max's insistence that the story is real.

History

On October 27th, 2023, YouTuber[1] MamaMax posted a video titled "ʙʀᴀɪɴᴡᴀꜱʜ ʏᴏᴜʀ ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ɪɴꜰʟᴜᴇɴcᴇʀꜱ TRIGGER WARNING" in which, through an experimental editing style, he exposes a purported child predator and sex cult leader named Camdan Jerrard Davis who is allegedly responsible for abusing hundreds of children. He claims that Davis lures children with the promise of joining a supernatural family and that Davis refers to himself as a "werewolf god." In the video, he claims that a woman who went missing in 2016,[2] Shelby "Spencer" Slayton, spoke to him and told the story of how Davis abused her. In the video, he shows a clip of Slayton telling her story. MamaMax also urges other big creators to share the video and help in the arrest of Camdan. The video gained over 96,000 views in three months (shown below).

The video is purportedly a trailer for a longer-form documentary on the topic titled "You Can’t Hurt Me: Spencer."[3]

On October 28th, YouTuber[4] Auntie Spencer, aka Shelby Slayton, posted a four-hour long interview in which she further talks about Camdan Jerrard Davis, how he allegedly assaulted her and his cult, garnering over 19,000 views in three months (shown below, left). On November 11th, YouTuber[5] MamaMax posted a video insisting that the story is not part of an ARG after some commenters criticized the video's editing style and content, suggesting no big creators would take it seriously because of this, garnering over 353,000 views in two months (shown below, right).

In the interview, Slayton explains how Davis purportedly lured her to his cult when she was 16 with claims that he was a vampire/werewolf who could talk to supernatural beings. She claims that Davis used the alias "Quinn" along with others. She also says that Davis told her and other members that they were supernatural beings and he could help transform them, additionally calling himself a god after the real god died. According to Davis, when God made the world he made multiple Adams and Eves, including some of a blue Avatar-like race. She says he was obsessed with archangels.

She claims he would target kids as young as 11 years old and would get his recruits to recruit other kids. The cult mainly interacted through the Kik messenger app. She also alleges that he forced some members of the cult to date each other, explaining that he made her date another girl in the group, whom she got a matching tattoo with. She later states he would solicit nude photos from the cult members and blackmail them with the photos.

On November 25th, 2023, MamaMax then posted a video to YouTube[6] titled "Reacting to the Reactions of SSSniperWolf's Actions" in which he acts as if he's going to react to people discussing SSSniperwolf, but instead raises more awareness of Davis and frames it as a more pressing issue that should be focused on rather than an "internet scandal" like SSSniperwolf's drama, garnering over 193,000 views in just over a month (shown below). He also directly asks Cr1tikal to cover the story. The video garnered some criticism in the comments for downplaying SSSniperwolf's actions.

On November 30th and December 19th, MamaMax posted two Shorts to YouTube[7][8] about Davis. In the first, he shares several more accounts from alleged victims of Davis with their faces blurred, garnering over 22,000 views in two months. In the second video, he thanks supporters of the videos and claims he's been in contact with police about Davis. The video gained over 22,000 views in a month (shown below, left and right).

Online Presence

As MamaMax has continued to post videos about Davis, some social media users have posted his photos and descriptions of him online to try and spread the word.[9][10] On January 3rd, 2024, X[11] user @KEEMSTAR posted, "There is a vampire pedo in the Minecraft community! ✅" which some believed to be about Davis, although it is unconfirmed, garnering over 300 likes in two days.

Alternate Reality Game (ARG) Theories

While MamaMax has insisted that the story of Camdan Jerrard Davis is legitimate, the videos have been met with some criticism over their editing and approach, which some believe make it seem like an ARG or fake story. In December 2023, a discussion took place on the Freakin' Awesome Network[12] forums about Camdan Davis, with some believing the whole thing is an ARG and discussing the possibility (comment shown below, click to expand).

This is legit the most distressing thing I've read in a while. Like, friends and family of missing/abused children already have to deal with their stories being repackaged and sold to the public on a regular basis. But an ARG? What the hell? Quote It's so confusing because from what I could gather, he himself referred to it as an ARG, but he's also claiming it's real? I think he just might not understand what an ARG is. He also seems to be using the ol' "I'm doing this to raise awareness" excuse. Anyway, I just watched a video that went over his recent uploads, and what I'm getting out of this whole situation is as such: - He is claiming that a man named Camdan Jerrard Davis is a cult leader and sexual abuser and that he is helping several women who were his victims; - He claims Davis has had hundreds of victims, although only four women seem to be involved in this thing. To be fair, they are saying that they are trying to get other victims to speak up; - Max claims that he came across the entire thing and came into contact with some of the victims by magical coincidence through his sister; - Despite police supposedly not being able to do anything about it, even with hundreds of accusers, MamaMax apparently thinks YouTubers can, because I guess he thinks Internet clout translates into legal and/or socio-political influence? - One woman who's directly helping MMM, Shelby "Spencer" Slayton, definitely was reported missing in 2016 (or at least a woman by that name was), and she claims Davis is the reason why disappeared; - MMM claims his group is currently working with the Atlanta Bar Association to bring Davis to justice. And to be fair, if that's true, good on him for actualyl going through the proper channels, although it just seems odd to me that he's working with lawyers id Davis was never arrested, or even seemingly suspected of any crime? - His video(s) supposedly covering the story actually spends most of the time trying to grab the attention of YouTubers he deems to be influencers and complaining about them daring to talk about anything other than his video and how if everyone isn't talking about his world-changing video, it means they're supporting pedophiles or are pedophiles themselves. You know, the same crap he pulled with his "Pick a side, youTube" nonsense that already got him some backlash back then; - In particular, he complained about drama channels covering the SSSniperwolf story and acted like it was petty nonsense with people ignoring the "real" issues, completely glossing over the whole "Doxxing someone and making him genuinely fear for his life" thing. Guess he doesn't care about abuse that much when he can't exploit it for self-promotion. People also pointed out that her audience is largely made of children, so you'd think Max would find her behaviour particularly troubling; - He also was obsessed with getting Critikal to cover his video for some reason, and when Critikal didn't respond, again resorted to his typical "if you don't do what I want, you're a p---" emotional blackmail. Note that Charlie was sick with Covid and basically in bed at all times during those days; - In general, MMM is basically encouraging his viewers to harass their favourite "influencers" until they acknowledge (and of course praise) his video, and of course insists that anyone who doesn't is on the side of pedophiles; - MamaMax has a weird gimmick going where he's saying that he's using "cult psychology" to brainwash influencers, but it's okay because he's doing to fight other cults raise awareness of the Davis case. he recenty renamed his channel to GODCULT before goign back to MamaMax; - He seems to be under the impression that child abuse is mostly done by cults, which... isn't really true. At least I think he's getting at when talking about cults in the same breath as child abuse. Oh, and he's of course using Hollywood Satanism imagery because Satanic Panic was so cool the first time and had no negative consequence or anything, so why not put on a sequel? - He vaguely mentions fighting powerful evil entities without ever getting specific about it. The whole thing reeks of QAnon-wannabe s---, honestly; -MMM has yet to provide any evidence against Camdan Jerrard Davis, or even that he exists (good luck finding anything about him on your own as my attempts to search the name across multiple engines only brought up MMM's claims), or any of his other claims; - Take it with a grain of salt, but people are claiming that Shelby Slayton is emotionally and financially dependent on Max, which certainly would make her devotion to him suspicious and at the very least be a very unhealthy situation; - there may be more to it and stuff that actually explains more, but if that's the case, max hasn't felt necessary to bring it up on his main channel, leaving it to side material and interviews that people are expected to find on their own; - If Camdan Jerrard Davis is real and a criminal, MMM is basically signaling to him that people are on his trail and giving him advance warning to destroy any evidence or run away before he's caught.
