Márcia Fu is a Brazilian retired volleyball player and social media personality known for participating in the 2023 edition of the Reality TV Show "A Fazenda 15". History

Márcia Regina Cunha, popularly known as Márcia Fu, is a Brazilian retired volleyball player, considered one of the greatest attackers in the history of Brazilian volleyball. She served on the Brazilian team that brought the first Olympic medal for women's volleyball and participated in three editions of the Olympic Games, being a medalist in the World Championship, World Cup, Champions Cup and Pan-American Games. YouTuber^[1] @MrVolei-zd2hr uploaded a video (shown below) of her story, amassing more than 293,000 views and 5,800 likes in four years.

On September 14th, 2023, the news tabloid F5^[2] revealed that Fu was joining the cast of the 15th edition of the "A Fazenda" Reality TV Show.

Online, the retired volleyball player got more recognition after joining the Reality TV Show "A Fazenda 15," a program where contestants live on a farm for three months to win a money prize of 1.5 million Reais (300,000 US Dollars). Márcia has accumulated over 534,000 followers on Instagram^[3], 29,000 followers on Facebook^[4] and 25,000 followers on X^[5].

Márcia Fu Staring At Peacock

On November 9th, 2023, the former volleyball player threw herself on the ground to get closer to a peacock. The moment was captured during her participation in the A Fazenda 15 reality TV Show and quickly went viral on social media. The reality TV YouTube^[6] channel posted a video of the moment (shown below), amassing more than 9,900 views and 478 likes in three weeks.

A still image of Fu staring at the peacock received many photoshopped edits on X in early December 2023. X^[7] user @elafazouserdela posted a compilation video with the best montages of Márcia Fu looking at the animal (shown below), which garnered over 443,000 views and 19,000 likes in a day.

Márcia Fu Singing "Escrito Nas Estrelas"

On November 26th, 2023, A Fazenda 15 YouTube^[8] channel uploaded a video of Márcia Fu singing "Escrito Nas Estrelas" by Tetê Espíndola. The moment (shown below) received roughly 95,000 views and 4,300 likes in a week.

A few days later, the X^[9] meme page @lacracervo posted a purposely low-quality version of Fu's clip singing (shown below), which garnered over 158,000 views and 4,300 likes since it was uploaded on November 29th, 2023.

The moment went viral on social media, inspiring users to recreate Fu's clip in parody videos and memes on X and TikTok. For example, on December 3rd, 2023, TikTok^[10] user @bertonidani posted a video of him cosplaying the volleyball player (shown below, left), amassing over 470,000 plays and 101,000 likes in a day. On December 1st, 2023, TikTok^[11] user @filhodaphonsy uploaded Márcia's clip paired with the overlay text "Things I said the most this week." The video (shown below, right) amassed more than 618,000 plays and 123,000 likes in three days.
