The Cool Autistic Gamer 774 is a Smiling Friends clip channel on YouTube known for organically inserting his logo, a crudely drawn cartoon head, into the end of clips while a voiceover says, "Hi. You just watched a cool cartoon clip of The Cool Autistic Gamer 774. Subscribe for more and hit a liked if you liked it." The YouTuber began uploading clips in late May 2024 and went viral in mid-June for the way he inserts his logo into videos, with multiple clips showcasing this going viral on sites like X / Twitter and Reddit.

Online History

On May 27th, 2024, YouTuber[1] The Cool Autistic Gamer 774 uploaded his first video, a clip of Doug Walker's cameo in Smiling Friends. At the end of the clip, Charlie opens his laptop and the image on the laptop is replaced by the YouTuber's logo, along with a voiceover asking viewers to like and subscribe. As the voice plays, a smile is added across Charlie's face. The video gained over 7,100 views in three weeks (shown below).

The YouTuber continued to upload Smiling Friends clips over the following weeks, always organically inserting his logo into the end of clips in a way where it cannot be ignored, with the quality of the inserts increasing over time.

On June 3rd, he uploaded a clip to YouTube[2] in which he inserts his logo over the head of Joel Haver's character, garnering over 100,000 views in two weeks (shown below, left). On June 9th, he uploaded a clip to YouTube[3] in which Charlie and Pim learn the Earth is flat, inserting a drawing of his logo's full character floating in space at the end, garnering over 17,000 views in nine days (shown below, right).



On June 17th, 2024, the YouTuber[4] uploaded a clip in which, at the end, a 3D rendering of The Cool Autistic Gamer 774 breaks through a wall in the background and asks people to subscribe, garnering over 10,000 views in a day (shown below).



Online Presence

The Cool Autistic Gamer 774 gained viral attention in mid-June 2024 after a clip from his Joel Haver video was uploaded by X[5] user @theOneFunnySeed on June 12th, 2024, writing, "I'm trying to watch smiling friends clips what is this," garnering over 35,000 likes in six days (shown below).

On June 16th, one of the YouTuber's clips was then posted to the subreddit /r/SmilingFriends,[6] garnering over 1,500 upvotes in two days.


On June 17th, 2024, X[7] user @Charlotte_Char4 posted a clip of the cool autistic gamer's 3D model, garnering over 21,000 likes in a day. Later that day, X[8] user @thetopmotions shared a video of YouTuber Katy's Smiling Friends clip, which features a creepy still shot at the end, writing, "Why do other people get the cool autistic gamer while I get this shit," garnering over 10,000 likes in a day (shown below).


That same day, X[9] user @eyeballic_ posted a video showing Justin Roiland giving an interview next to a clip of The Cool Autistic Gamer 774, suggesting that Roiland is the one running the channel, garnering over 7,500 likes in a day (shown below).
