Tyronestash is a digital artist and content creator who specializes in manga panel stylized art that heavily features different meme references, often mixed together. His unique style of art combined with high quality for what many believe is a shitpost has led to notable popularity surrounding the artist in online circles.

Career

In an exchange with Tyronestash and Know Your Meme on September 20th, 2023, he indicated that his name was even a meme reference, taking it directly from Big Man Tyrone, which he noted as one of his favorite internet personalities.

Tyronestash first started posting his art in late 2018 on Pixiv and Facebook, with his first bits of art on Facebook being in the now deleted group TyroneStash: Unlimited Ink Works, a play on Unlimited Blade Works from Fate. His first meme work, still surviving on Pixiv,^[1] was of Ricardo Milos drawn in a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure style (shown below).

Tyrone's digital art career gained a mainstream eye when he started to post meme art of Komi-San and Shaggy during the Shaggy Power Level arc in 2018 and 2019. Some fans of Komi-san were notably upset at the art, depicting her as lewd and being romantically involved with Shaggy instead of the more widely accepted shipped character Tadano, causing Tyrone's art to spread rapidly as more people reacted and shared it. The first of these pieces was uploaded to his X account^[2] on January 30th, 2019 (shown below).

Meme Edits

Throughout the years, Tyrone's work has received the same treatment as official manga panels via text-replacing meme edits or recaptions. One of the earliest examples of this in action occurred with his take^[3] on the Why Do Women Only Like Stupid Jerks Who Treat Them Like Shit? meme format, in which he translated the video meme into a three-panel manga comic (shown below, left).

Fans of his, and of the meme in general, then began to add edits to it. For example, on August 1st, 2019, Redditor u/lucianmolester^[4] uploaded an edited version in which the last panel has the protagonist from Goblin Slayer in the looking for goblins, earning over 21,000 upvotes in four years (shown below, right).
