PepeLaugh is a Twitch emote featuring an illustration of Pepe the Frog with a wide mouth grin and teary eyes, similar to the Crying Laughing Emoji. On Twitch and the /r/forsen subreddit, the image is often associated with the phrase "Here It Comes."
Origin
The exact origin of the emote is unknown. On August 13th, 2014, the Pepe illustration was submitted to a thread on 4chan's /pol/ board (shown below, left). On November 14th, 2015, the emote was added to the FrankerFaceZ database.[1] As of February 2019, the PepeLaugh emote is used by upwards of 1,300 channels on the BetterTTV database.[3]


Spread
On January 2nd, 2018, Redditor kappafaggot submitted a post titled "PepeLaugh Here It Comes" to /r/forsen, along with a message asking "how long have we been spamming this chat OMEGALUL." On May 15th, 2018, a shirt with an illustration of Pepe with the text "Here It Comes" written underneath was placed for sale on the online retailer RedBubble[2] (shown below). The emote is accompanied by the phrases "OH NO NO NO" or "HE DOESN'T KNOW."

On July 10th, a better quality PepeLaugh emote was submitted by user pajlada to the FrankerFaceZ[4] Twitch emote database (shown below).
