Poo Devourer, also known as u/poo_devourer, is a Redditor known for poop-related NSFW content across multiple subreddits. In early December 2021, interest in the Redditor peaked after he started engaging in the /r/playboicarti subreddit, where screenshots of his DMs and Reddit posts went viral for being gross and cringeworthy. Memes were made about the user going into December 2021.

Origin

On December 4th, 2021, u/poo_devourer made his first appearance on the /r/playboicarti[1] subreddit within the comment section of a post. The post (shown below, left) was a screenshot from the /r/Corophiles subreddit where u/poo_devourer began engaging with people in the comment section (shown below, right) after being mentioned.

More posts related to Poo Devourer percolated onto /r/playboicarti[3] in the days following. On December 6th, 2021, screenshots of Poo Devourer posts appeared on other subreddits like /r/Cringetopia.[4] The post was uploaded by Redditor zahidilhan and it received roughly 34,600 upvotes over two days.

Another screenshot of a Poo Devourer DM was posted to /r/redditmoment[5] on December 6th by Redditor umshoe. The post (shown below) received roughly 5,500 likes over two days.

Because of the attention they received from the examples above, Poo Devourer did an AMA on the /r/playboicarti[6] subreddit that was later taken down by the moderators. However, another interview with Poo Devourer was uploaded to the subreddit[7] on December 7th, 2021, by Redditor JungJunkie. The post received roughly 13,800 upvotes in less than 24 hours.

Also on December 7th, Poo Devourer was banned from the /r/playboicarti subreddit. They made a post[8] about it (shown below) that received 375 upvotes over one day.
