Print chr(sum(range(ord(min(str(not)))))) refers to a series of memes and pranks either encouraging or discouraging users from printing the string of Python code "print chr(sum(range(ord(min(str(not))))))," which results in printing the eighth letter of the Sinhala alphabet, which resembles a Crewmate from Among Us. The memes first started spreading online in September 2024 and continued to spread over the following months, including via the Worst Mistake Of My Life format.
Origin
On September 13th, 2024, X[1] user @chordbug posted, "participating in a python ctf this weekend and our team name is chr(sum(range(ord(min(str(not()))))))," garnering over 4,300 likes in seven months. On September 14th, X[2] user @0x466161 commented under the post with a screenshot of what the string of code produces, showing the eight letter in the SInhala alphabet, which has been said to resemble a Crewmate from Among Us.

Spread
The prank quickly spread online over the following days. On September 14th, 2024, the post by @chordbug was reposted to the /r/ProgrammerHumor[3] subreddit, garnering over 22,000 upvotes in seven months. On October 10th, Redditor u/TheHunter920 posted a version of the "Worst Mistake Of My Life" meme discouraging people from printing the code to the /r/ProgrammerHumor[4] subreddit, garnering over 19,000 upvotes in six months.

On October 11th, VK[5] user /dev/null posted a version of the meme using the Finally, X format, garnering over 34,000 views in six months. On October 23rd, the Peter Griffin version of the meme was reposted to the /r/ExplainTheJoke[6] subreddit and again to the /r/PeterExplainsTheJoke[7] subreddit on April 9th, 2025, garnering over 11,000 upvotes and 17,000 upvotes respectively by April 10th.
