About
Rollie Rollie Dance is the name given to a TikTok dancing trend set to the song 'Rolex' by Ayo & Teo. The audio was featured as a background for TikToks in 2022, but had a significant change in usage in 2023. Starting in late 2023, the dance was added and later became accompanied by a striking outfit decision, helping it to go viral and gain more popularity.
Origin
On August 25th, 2022, the TikToker _Yacka[1] uploaded a Sped-Up TikTok Audio version of the song Rolex, with lyrics being seen on screen, earning over 590,000 likes in one year as it allowed the audio to be remixed on the platform (shown below).

Spread
Starting in July of 2023, a two-step dance move was added to the audio to create the dance trend. On July 13th, 2023, the TikToker Sienna[2] uploaded her doing the move, helping to show the new way of using the audio and popularizing the two-step motion while gaining over 856,000 likes in four months (shown below).

Later, TikTokers who were doing the dance trend would start to wear several layers of either jeans or underwear, giving them an entirely different look while completing the move. On August 1st, 2023, the TikToker @haleybaylee[3] uploaded herself dancing to the trend on the streets of New York City, wearing several layers of jeans. The TikTok, which was captioned as a POV Meme gained over 1.3 million views in three months (shown below).
