The title of the meme is meant to be a phonetic spelling of the lyrics of the song, similar to the Wenomechainsama memes. The memes were popularized on YouTube in mid-2023.

On February 9th, 2023, YouTuber^[1] kanał nie moich widzów posted a video titled "Semaluhtounuyulohowwah" where a low-resolution clip from Family Guy of Lois Griffin puking on Stewie plays. The clip is set to a remix of "Soap" by Melanie Martinez,^[6] where the opening instrumental plays, followed by Adele singing, "Send my love to your new lover" from her song "Send My Love."^[7] The video title is meant to be a phonetic spelling of the lyrics. The video gained over 1.2 million views in three months (shown below).

Spread

The meme spread over the following months. On March 14th, 2023, YouTuber^[2] Slocky Wush 04 posted a video titled "Semaluhtounuyulohowwah" where a low-resolution clip of Stewie falling down the stairs plays over the same audio, garnering over 721,000 views in two months (shown below).

On April 3rd, YouTuber^[3] Blandcombo posted a new version of the meme that gained over 285,000 views in a month (shown below, left). On May 10th, YouTuber^[4] Nonevanity posted a version of the meme that gained over 194,000 views in six days (shown below, right). The trend began to spread on TikTok^[5] that month.
