About

NeuralBlender is a neural net-based image-generation website that generates images based on a provided description. The tool gained moderate virality on social media in early November 2021, with users often utilizing it to generate images of various characters.

History

On July 21st, 2021, the neural net-based image generation tool NeuralBlender[1] was launched. Starting on August 1st, 2021, the official Twitter[2][3] account of the generator started posting example images generated by the tool based on provided prompt (examples shown below).



The Village Church / Alien Invasion

In September 2021, the first notable posts made by other users were posted on Twitter. For example, on September 7th, Twitter[4] user @EliotHiggins posted two images created in the generator (one image shown below, left), with the tweet gaining 28 likes in two months. On September 18th, Twitter[5] user @oldking420 posted three images created using the prompt "Evangelion." The post gained 115 likes in two months (one image shown below, right).

The app did not achieve major recognition until early November 2021, when several notable tweets were posted. On November 1st, Twitter[6][7][8] users @axeystuff, @King_Horrible and @pagongings posted tweets that gained over 130 retweets and 420 likes, 180 retweets and 840 likes and 560 retweets and 3,400 likes, respectively (shown below, left, center and right).

In the following days, more notable tweets sharing images generated by the app were posted by multiple Twitter users.

Features

NeuralBlender is a neural-net-based tool that generates images based on the provided prompt. The tool provides a choice of two "blends" for creating images, Hyperion and Cronos. The Cronos blend option can produce different results from the same input.

As of November 11th, 2021, NeuralBlender.com ranked 426,276th most popular website, with the Alexa[9] Rank graph showing a rapid graph in the number of users in early November 2021.
