About
Reverse AI Art Filter Nudes on TikTok refers to the reversal of AI-generated art made by a TikToker who uses the app's "AI Art" filter for a nude photo of themselves, which can then be reversed to show the original nude (also referred to as a "spicy photo"). The TikTok trend of AI art filter nudes started in October 2022 and allowed TikTokers to share and post their explicit photos without getting caught or suspended, however, the alleged reversal of the AI filter supposedly usurped this. Most of the videos used the song "I Think I Like When It Rains" by WILLIS as their TikTok sound.
Origin
AI Art Filter Nudes on TikTok
The "AI Art" TikTok[1] filter was created by TikTok itself and was used by TikTokers starting in September 2022. The initial trend that used the filter was about one's lock screen. TikTokers often reiterated in their videos that their partner would be angry that their lock screen wasn't of them, when in fact, it was a photo of them but just put through the "AI Art" filter. For example, on September 26th, 2022, TikToker[2] famousbeks posted a video that showed her and her boyfriend kissing through the filter, gaining roughly 724,800 plays and 120,900 likes in 12 days (shown below, left). On October 31st, 2022, TikToker[3] darlings.spam used the "AI Art" filter for one of their "spicy photos," gaining roughly 780,400 plays and 170,200 likes in one week and being the first known TikToker to do so (shown below, right).

Spread
Continuing in November 2022, more TikTokers put their "spicy photos" through the "AI Art" filter and gained viral attention. For instance, on November 3rd, 2022, TikToker[4] kainenovak posted an "AI Art" filter nude in a video that received roughly 4.1 million plays and 547,200 likes in four days (shown below, left). On November 4th, TikToker[5] ciggywet stitched kainenovak's TikTok, showing their own "AI Art" filter nude and gaining roughly 89,400 plays and 16,900 likes in three days (shown below, right).

On November 5th, 2022, TikToker[6] mememimo6 posted their own "AI Art" filter nude in a video that received roughly 3.4 million plays and 329,600 likes in two days (shown below, left). In the comment section of the video, TikToker bluestride wrote, "don't look ai filter reverser on Google 💀💀💀," gaining over 3,000 likes in one day. This then prompted TikToker[7] mememimo6 to address their comment in a video uploaded on November 6th, gaining roughly 610,700 plays and 26,700 likes in one day (shown below, right).

In the video, TikToker mememimo6 stated that one had to save the TikTok as a "Live Photo" and then go to their camera roll from there to complete the process via a third-party reverser. However, instead of revealing the reverser found on Google, he just added a video of a man dressed as Jesus Christ saying, "Hey! Whatcha watching?" to infer that what the viewer was trying to discover was scandalous.
