On October 15th, 2022, TikToker[1] horriblenoise posted a video in which he's at home singing along to a self-made beat. The song he sang became the "Stained Glass Window, Candelabras" song, earning roughly 2.4 million plays and 391,100 likes in 17 days (shown below).

As TikToker horriblenoise's video gained virality in late October 2022, various TikTokers started using the video's sound[2] in their own TikToks. For instance, the first creator to use the sound was TikToker[3] llewynayres on October 24th, 2022, who made a joke about his "inner ADHD monologue" being represented by the song's lyrics. Over the course of eight days, the video received roughly 195,100 plays and 27,300 likes (shown below, left). On October 25th, TikToker[4] biggaybaker added to the trend, stating that the song proved how the TikTok algorithm, "feeds us the purest sounds from the freshest, most mentally ill spring," gaining roughly 133,700 plays and 31,500 likes in one week (shown below, right).
