About

Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?, also known as Okasaan Online, is a Japanese isekai light novel and anime series which follow the adventures of a Japanese teenager Masato Oosuki who gets trapped in a fantasy RPG world together with his mother Mamako. Following the release of the anime series in July 2019, the series and the character Mamako gained a significant presence within anime meme communities online, with a still image of Mamako pouting often used as a reaction and an exploitable.

History

On January 20th, 2017, the first issue of the Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? light novel series (Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka?, Okaasan Online) was published.[1] The series follows the adventures of Masato and Mamako Oosuki, a 15-year-old Japanese boy and his mother, who are trapped inside a government-developed fantasy RPG video game. The series is described as a parody of the isekai genre.

On October 21st, 2018, the anime adaptation of the series was announced, with the first trailer being released on March 22nd, 2019.[2][3] On July 13th, 2019, the first episode of the adaptation, produced by J.C. Staff, premiered.[1]


Reception

As of July 23nd, 2019, Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? anime series maintained a 6.52 rating on MyAnimeList with over 7,400 votes submitted.[4]

Fandom

Following the premiere, the anime series gained notable recognition in anime communities online, with character Mamako Oosuki attaining a status of a MILF and receiving widespread presence in memes in the /r/animemes subreddit.

Mamako Pout

On June 8th, 2019, the official Twitter account for the anime series posted a 24-second teaser.[5] In one scene of the teaser, character Mamako Oosuki is shown pouting.


Starting on July 19th, 2019, the still image of Mamako pouting gained a notable presence in memes in the /r/animemes subreddit.[6][7]

Basically the entire Japanese population is suffering from extreme work exhaustion contributing to their high suicide rates, excessively low birth rates and isn't healthy in general.

I don't care how hard people feel like they should work, if they're exhausting themselves physically, psychologically, and emotionally, it's not healthy and they need to take a break. You're going to snap eventually if you stress yourself too much and for this type of stuff their first snap could be their last, the suicide forest is unfortunately a thing. People need to relax sometime.

In short: All work and no play makes Japan a dull boy.
