Donkey Kong Bananza is a platformer videogame released for the Nintendo Switch 2 in July of 2025. The game features Donkey Kong, who sports a new character design, along with a young Pauline.

History

A teaser trailer (shown below) for Donkey Kong Bananza was first shown shortly after the official announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 system on April 2nd, 2025.



More information about the game was revealed during the June 18th, 2025 Nintendo Direct, in which it was shown that a younger Pauline would be Donkey Kong's sidekick in this title.



Donkey Kong Bananza officially launched to Nintendo Switch 2 systems on July 17th, 2025.[1]
