On March 5th, 2023, Bandai Namco^[1] announced a teaser regarding its video game series adaption of the homonymous anime Dragon Ball Z. The teaser was revealed during the final match of the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Championship and also shared on YouTube, Twitter and Instagram. YouTube^[2] account GamersPrey shared the teaser of the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 game, garnering 1.5 million views and 80,000 likes in one day (see below).

The day the teaser of the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 game was released on the internet, no official release date or other information was announced by Bandai Namco. The Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi franchise appeared on PlayStation 2 in 2005, followed by two sequels in the two following years.
