Drain Gang (DG) refers to the Swedish music group consisting of Bladee, Ecco2K, Thaiboy Digital and Whitearmor who got their start alongside Yung Lean and the Sad Boys in the mid-2010s when their were formerly known as Shield Gang. Drain Gang, and their fans who are dubbed Drainers, became their own niche internet subculture consisting of their own aesthetics and signifiers. Drain Gang memes became increasingly prevalent in the early 2020s across platforms like Instagram, Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter and TikTok, among other social media sites.
