I swear I have never seen a character irradiate so much "Boykisser" vibes than the boykisser himself

But NGL it's a charming lad, I can imagine both kids and adults going insane over him in universe, something that can't be said about lots of Mascot horror characters

Rambley's success is hard to pin down, but I think it's a factor of two things. I think it's his sort of genuine sincerity that really endears people to him, the caretaker AI seems to genuinely want the best for you and the park, and the fact he doesn't break character (so far) really adds to the charm.

From the Watsonian perspective of a mascot thriller, he has a fairly interesting twist going for him. He's not omniscient, and is effectively separated by a world apart, only interacting with you through various "portals" into our world. The player and the partner effectively need to assist with each other and it sets the tone for the relationship between the two from a meta perspective. Having the screens also makes the player easy to isolate (just don't have a screen in the area you need to be isolated in) and allows Rambley to be the beacon in the murky darkness of the game that slowly guides you along.

Also he's uhh… quite popular with a certain subset of the internet community and that might also be a part of it.
