On January 21st, 2024, the X user @DERRlCKWHITE[1] uploaded the entirety of the film, captioning it as 'SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM: THE SANDY CHEEKS MOVIE LEAK' and earning over 790,000 views before the copyright owner, Nickelodeon, was able to get it taken down (shown below). The post was quickly QRT'd by others, and some were successful in downloading the movie leak off the platform before it was removed.

On January 22nd, 2024, memes about the film being leaked were quick to spread across the internet. The Redditor u/biggerppgfan[2] uploaded a Mercy Offers A Hand meme to the r/Dankmemes Subreddit, with the caption showing that the leaker on Twitter is a lifeline helping the movie to finally get released sooner (shown below).
One stand-out moment from the movie received a lot of meme attention after the leak.
