Plot

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is set in Toronto, Canada, and serves as an alternate retelling of the original Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series [1], which follows the story of Scott Pilgrim, a bassist in an indie band that falls in love with Ramona Flowers and has to fight her seven evil exes.

On January 7th, 2022, The Hollywood Reporter[2] exclusively revealed the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel, adapted into an Edgar Wright movie in 2010, would receive an anime series set to premiere in 2023 on Netflix. On March 30th, 2023, the streaming company announced[3] the cast of the series would be the same actors from the 2010 feature. The video (shown below) amassed over 877,000 views and 45,000 likes in seven months.

The show received a 100% score of 35 critic reviews on _Rotten Tomatoes[4], with an audience score rating of 77%. On Metacritic[5] website the accumulates an 85 metascore, based on 19 critic reviews and a 6.3 user score based on 85 reviews.
