About

The Stark County Threat Assessment Test is a free-to-play analog horror game in which players take a test made for officers of the fictional Stark County Police Department to assess the threat levels of photographs, specifically those of people and mugshots, due to an increase in kidnappings and murders in the area. The game plays with creepypasta imagery and overall attempts to scare the player. Stark County Threat Assessment Test was featured in many let's play videos across YouTube and TikTok in early 2023. The gameplay is similar in structure to The Mandela Catalogue and the precursor game Assessment Examination that was popularized in 2022.

History

Stark County Threat Assessment Test was created by Reese Manse and published to his itch.io website[1] on January 23rd, 2023. The game's "Story" is described as:

After an apparent spike in disappearances and murders Stark County has put together a test for officers to take to see how well they can detect a threat. Officers will be rating the threat level of each image on a scale from one to ten.
