The Squabble also known as the "Left, Do It, Right, Do It" TikTok Dance is a dance trend set to the song "Soak City" by 310babii, Mustard, Blueface, Tyga, BlueBucksClan and Ohgeesy that was popularized on TikTok in October 2023. The dance, which sees participants alternate steps with their feet and spin their arms as the lyrics, "Left, do it, right, do it," play, was popularized after several football players, including CJ Stroud and Chris Olave, were filmed doing it as a celebration dance in late September 2023, spreading to TikTok that month.
Origin
While the exact origins of The Squabble are unclear, it was popularized by football players including CJ Stroud and Chris Olave, who sometimes perform the dance as a celebration. One of the earliest examples of someone doing the dance on social media was posted by TikToker[1] @1nduh on October 9th, 2022.
The dance was popularized on TikTok in September 2023, when videos of football players doing the dance, set to "Soak City" by TikTokers, went viral on the app. For example, on September 7th, 2023, TikToker[2] @eaglesflockk1 posted a video of players doing the dance that gained over 4.5 million views in a month (shown below, left). On September 21st, TikToker[3] @edgyy1 posted another video of the dance, garnering over 4 million views in a month (shown below, right).

On September 25th, 2023, YouTuber[4] Ding Productions posted a compilation video of football players doing The Squabble, garnering over 117,000 views in a month (shown below).

As clips of the football celebration continued to go viral, TikTokers began performing the dance in September to the same song. On September 19th, 2023, TikToker[5] @brooklynqueen3 posted a video doing the dance, garnering over 5.1 million views in a month (shown below, left). On September 28th, TikToker[6] @clippextra posted a video of Kai Cenat doing the dance, garnering over 3.7 million views in a month (shown below).

On October 14th, TikToker[7] @therealsasaramorgan posted a video of numerous people in horror movie villain costumes doing the dance, garnering over 7.4 million views in six days (shown below).
