TikToker Myra Magdalen's Room Tour refers to a series of viral videos posted by user Myra Magdalen on TikTok (@myramagdalen) in which she showed the strange decorations in her room including a keyboard wall in her bathroom, a worm wall in her bedroom, an array of picture frames with nail clippers and so-called "inside dirt." Magdalen originally went viral for her keyboard bathroom in 2021, continuing her eccentric style and interior design going into 2022 and 2023. Many people reacted to her videos and room decorations across social media, including X (Twitter) in September 2023.

Origin

TikToker^[1] @myramagdalen posted her first video to the platform on March 4th, 2020. Overall, her content was centered on fashion styling and design. Her first viral TikTok^[2] was uploaded on February 15th, 2021, gaining roughly 186,900 plays and 53,600 likes in two years. The video showed her adding pictures and physical materials to picture frames she had bought. On September 30th, 2021, she posted a TikTok^[3] that acted as her first "room tour," following the Red Flags In My Room trend, receiving roughly 32,400 plays and 1,300 likes in two years (shown below).

On October 21st, 2021, @myramagdalen posted a TikTok^[4] that officially responded to comments about the keyboard wall behind her in many of her videos, gaining roughly 941,200 plays and 73,100 likes in two years (shown below, left). The keyboard wall became an increasingly prevalent part of her videos going into late 2021, culminating in a viral TikTok^[5] she uploaded on November 18th, 2021, which received roughly 17.7 million plays and 3.2 million likes in two years (shown below, right).

On March 7th, 2023, @myramagdalen posted part one of her "room tour" series to TikTok,^[6] gaining roughly 1.9 million plays and 284,300 likes in six months (shown below, left). A few months later, on June 29th, she posted part four of her "room tour" series to TikTok,^[7] gaining roughly 12.6 million plays and 1.9 million likes in three months.

Then, on September 15th, 2023, she posted another room tour to TikTok,^[8] gaining roughly 6.6 million plays and 1.1 million likes in three days (shown below, right).

@myramagdalen's September 15th TikTok^[8] received increased virality when it was reposted by X^[9] user @_shaunasjorts on September 17th, 2023, who captioned it, "my jaw has never been lower," gaining roughly 141,800 likes in one day (shown below).

The video gained viral reactions on X, such as a quote posted by X^[10] user @ContraPoints on September 18th, who said, "Only she gets to call herself not like other girls," gaining roughly 46,300 likes in less than a day.
