Vince McMahon's Mustache refers to jokes about the new look of recently-reinstated WWE chairman Vince McMahon, who appeared at the 2023 edition of Wrestlemania sporting dyed black hair and a pencil mustache. A subsequent appearance of McMahon on CNBC spread widely as people mocked the new look.

Origin

During Wrestlemania weekend (April 1st and 2nd, 2023), Vince McMahon appeared at events sporting a pencil mustache and black dyed hair. It was McMahon's first appearance as WWE chairman after supposedly retiring following a hush money scandal (shown below, left). On April 3rd, McMahon appeared on CNBC to announce he had sold the company to Endeavor, which also owns UFC.^[1] Screenshots of his appearance there spread on social media soon afterward (shown below, right).

Memes about McMahon's look spread widely on social media following the CNBC appearance. For example, Twitter^[2] user @fourfingerpod posted a Simpsons edit using Vince's new look, gaining over 110 retweets and 880 likes (shown below, left). Twitter^[3] User @drainbamager posted an edit making McMahon look like Raul Julia in the Street Fighter film, gaining over 160 retweets and 1,300 likes (shown below, right).
