"Why Is It, When Something Happens, It Is Always You Three?" is a memorable quote uttered by the character McGonagall in the 2009 fantasy film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Online, a photoshopped screenshot of the scene in which McGonagall says the line has been used for various jokes indicating blame for various faults.
Origin
On July 15th, 2009, the film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince premiered in the United States.[1] In the film, McGonagall (portrayed by Dame Maggie Smith) confronts the series' protagonists Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley (portrayed by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, respectively) and says the line (clip below).
Two years later, on August 25th, 2011, YouTuber LifeIsATwister93 uploaded a video clip of the scene to the site. Within eight years, the post received more than 235,000 views (shown below).

Two years later, on February 28th, 2013, Tumblr user bonusvampirus posted a GIF of the moment (shown below, left). [2]
Three years later, on May 16th, 2016, Redditor [3] senorchang34 posted a photoshopped version of the scene, replacing the images of the three protagonists with the cast of the Marvel television series Daredevil. The post received more than700 points (96% upvoted) in three years (shown below, right).
Later that year, on November 27th, 2017, a Doctor Who fan-based Facebook [4] page published a photoshopped version of the screenshot, replacing McGonagall's head with the Tumblr logo. The bottom image has been replaced with a promotional photograph for the series Doctor Who with the actors' heads replaced by the logos of popular fantasy franchises, indicating that these properties create discussion on Tumblr. The post received more 300 reactions and 60 shares in three years (shown below).
