Ye Koi Randikhana Hai? is a catchphrase and exploitable meme that stems from a viral video featuring retired Indian Army Officer Major General G.D. Bakshi. Major General Bakshi delivered a speech at the Indoi Analytics Conclave in January 2019 and commented on Pakistani soldiers entering Indian territory by saying "Ye koi randikhana hai?" which translates to "Is this some brothel?" Major General Bakshi's agitated delivery of the line became a viral meme soon after the video was posted to YouTube.

Origin

On January 17th, 2019, the YouTube^[1] account for the Indoi Analytics Conclave posted a recording of Major General G.D. Bakshi's speech from January 14th of that year. At the 11:40 timestamp, Major General Bakshi delivers the memorable line, "Ye koi randikhana hai?" in reference to Pakistani soldiers crossing into Indian territory. The video has gathered over 3 million plays in four years (seen below).

On February 27th, 2019, Twitter^[2] user @AMIT_GUJJU was the first to repost the clip from the aforementioned video, gathering over 600 likes in four years. The clip was reposted again by Twitter^[3] user @Le_Sabre54 on March 1st, 2019, where it gathered over 230,000 views and 1,800 likes in four years (seen below).
