You Promised My Son Free Robux refers to a viral video in which a dad expresses his disappointment with Roblox YouTuber KreekCraft for promising to give his son some of the game's currency, Robux, but not following through. The video has been remixed in multple parodies on YouTube.

Origin

On March 11th, 2018, YouTuber Ali Sayed Gaming uploaded a video in which a dad explains that KreekCraft had promised to give his son free Robux after playing online with him, but forgot, causing the young boy to "stay up til 2 A.M." The video gained over 2.1 million views in three years (shown below).

Spread

On September 14th, 2019, KreekCraft responded to the video, clarifying he had given the son the promised Robux (shown below, left). On January 3rd, 2021, he posted a video in which he met the Indian dad (shown below, right).

On November 27th, 2019, YouTuber Vitalicus uploaded the "You promised my son free robux" clip in isolation, gaining over 1.3 million views (shown below, left). This proved to be the catalyst for remixes and parodies of the clip, as dozens appeared on YouTube over the following year and a half. On March 3rd, 2020, YouTuber 1M_oh posted a compilation of remixes featuring the clip, gaining over 89,000 views (shown below, right).
