Zogchow or Zionist Occupation Government Chow is a synonym for goyslop, an antisemitic slang term used in reference to low-quality, unhealthy, mass-produced food. The term "zogchow" began to rise in prominence on 4chan in 2017, although the exact origin of the term is unknown. In November 2024, a meme about RFK Jr. that uses the term was posted to X / Twitter, further popularizing the term.

Origin

The term "ZOG" is listed by the ADL^[1] as a hate symbol that stands for "Zionist Occupied Government," writing that the term "reflects the common white supremacist belief that the U.S. government is controlled by Jews."

On April 9th, 2017, an antisemitic comment was made to 4chan's^[2] /pol/ board reading, in part, "I'm just tired of waiting for all order to collapse here so I can have a hand in my own country's destiny. I'm sick of eating ZOGchow and seeing the cackling k***s rubbing their hands over their destruction." This is the earliest known use of the term, but may not be its true origin.

Spread

The term became increasingly popularized between 2017 and 2024, with a search for "zogchow" on 4plebs^[3] resulting in over 1,000 results as of mid-November 2024.

On November 14th, 2024, X^[4] user @uncledoomer posted a meme using a greentext format alongside an image of RFK Jr. about being invited to dinner only to find that you're being served zogchow, garnering over 25,000 likes and 1,300 reposts in four days.

On November 17th, X^[5] user @Giga_Goblin started a "zogchow" thread for users to share examples of zogchow, garnering over 30 likes and around 24 comments in a day.

The term combines the terms "goyim," a Jewish word for people who are not Jewish, and "slop," a term often used to criticize food as disgusting. The term implies that low-quality food is being served to the masses by the Jewish people, who are purported to control the world by antisemitic conspiracy theorists, to make them depressed, unhealthy and docile. Its first known use was on 4chan in 2019, spreading online to sites including iFunny in 2022.
