Selena in the localization sounds like she's angry with him just pestering other girls and hurting their feelings (Selena: I don't care what your intentions are! It's not your intentions that matter. It's how the other person feels. Do you get it yet?), while in the original, she's angry because she's giving them attention instead of her, which is what is implied in the original (and later on in the next support conversations). Selena is talking about herself when mentioning "other women" (e.g. when she mentions that it's embarrassing, when she mentions that Lazwald plays with women's hearts, etc) Lazwald becomes oblivious again, instead of accepting his "problem" (this is because of extra additions in the localization), he suddenly has no self-awareness again Besides the conversation having the same issue like some Camilla, Aqua and Nyx ones. ![ire Emblem Fates- Sakura B-Support Kamui in the original on Hoshido's side is ignorant of Hoshido's ways (AKA Japan) because he was raised in Nohr (AKA Europe). In their text it's not conveyed at all They basically took out the subplot of "cultural differences" because of "cultural differences" What I think is particularly egregious is that there is this story criticism that Hoshido is portrayed as the angels, but you can see right there where the main character questions the veracity of their history and Sakura pretends to not know what he's talking about. If that isn't a not-so-subtle criticism of the Japanese government's historical myth-building shenanigans I don't know what is. ![Fire Emblem Fates: Aqua x Ryoma C-Support Conversation ummar There are several removed and altered lines that had to do with their relationship as a family Ryoma is no longer his authoritative self and has tendencies to become aggressive at random parts Azura refuses his help in an almost angry manner, which does not happen in the original, where she simply expresses gratitude. The localization makes her seem rebellious instead of wanting to be helpful and independent. The original also shows a slight tension between the two because the characters are similar in how they see their roles, that of protectors/leaders, which is absent in the localization. One other change is how Ryoma was changed to instead try to force a social interaction instead of trying to help Azura out of selflessness #Torrentia!Downpour With altered content highlighted in blue NOA Version Translation we Azura: Goodness!
