Doc Ock even had his theme song completed for MVC3? Niitsuma confirms that this Spidey villain's development had gone further than previously thought Posted by Nicholas 'MajinTenshinhan' Taylor • December 27, 2016 at 7:45 p.m. PST • Comments: 23 ULTIMATE MARVEL VS. CAPCOM While we recently ran a story about Niitsuma detailing a bunch of characters that didn't make the cut in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, he actually gave special significance to one certain character who's been confirmed to have been in development before. This new tweet for Niitsuma gives insight into just how far development actually went with Doctor Octopus, and it's pretty significant. Check out the translation, courtesy of me, Nicholas "Majin Tenshinhan" Taylor, below. Speaking of characters that didn't make the cut, the biggest one of all was a certain enemy of Spider-Man's who has a bunch of arms coming out of his back. He wasn't just a candidate, we worked on him for a very long time. He even has character art and a theme song we had to cut from the game. Source: Ryota Niitsuma's Twitter.
