The Sister Hong Incident and Sister Hong Viral Videos, also known as the Red Uncle Incident or Sister Red Incident, refer to a 2025 incident in Nanjing, China, concerning a man who posed as a woman named "Sister Hong" and allegedly filmed over 1,600 men having sexual relations with him and nonconsenually distributed the media on the internet (known as revenge porn). The viral videos allegedly circulated on Telegram and Twitter / X. The story first broke on Weibo and Xiaohongshu, or Rednote, among other Chinese social media sites, in July 2025. Sister Hong's appearance is notably comprised of white makeup, red lipstick and a brown wig with bangs.

On July 6th, 2025, a 38-year-old man with the surname Jiao was arrested in Nanjing, China, on allegations that he secretly filmed and shared videos of his hookups with more than 1,600 men. He was given the nickname "Red Uncle" on social media sites like Weibo, where the hashtag for "Red Uncle" became a top trending topic, as reported by Reuters.^[1][2]

The district police in Nanjing released a statement on the case, saying that Jiao had been detained on suspicion of spreading obscene material.^[1]

Multiple Chinese social media users posted reactions to the case on the day, which were compiled in a video shared by the YouTube^[3] channel 阿龙说丑态 on July 7th, gaining over 201,700 views in two weeks (shown below).

The nickname "Red Uncle" later changed to the nickname "Sister Red" or "Sister Hong." According to KBIZoom,^[2] Jiao used fake profiles on dating sites to lure men, claiming to be a divorced woman searching for a sincere relationship. Further, Jiao reportedly "woke up at 5 a.m. each day to apply heavy makeup, wear wigs, insert silicone breast forms, and even trained his voice to sound feminine — all without using voice-altering software," according to KBIZoom.^[2]

On July 13th, 2025, TikToker ^[7] @nutzukedesu posted a video of herself performing a song about Sister Hong with a person dressed like Sister Hong in the background. Over eight days, the video gained over 124,700 likes (shown below).

Also on July 13th, TikToker^[8] @yuchen_2126 posted a photo slideshow including two images, which used the S Line meme format to compare Sister Hong's sexual history to the character Han Ji-uk from the South Korean show S Line. Over eight days, the post gained over 74,800 likes (shown below).

On July 20th, 2025, TikToker^[9] @cherryjaine posted a video, humorously comparing Bonnie Blue's 1,000 Men in 12 Hours Record to the Sister Hong Incident, gaining over 278,600 likes in a day (shown below).
