Slowpoke is another of 4Chan’s many Pokemon-based memes. Typically, a picture of a Slowpoke Pokemon is posted to accompany a relatively tame troll that focuses on old but divisive issues.

An example would be something like this:

OMG! Hey guys! You hear about Britney freaking out and shaving her head?

The text is rarely ever superimposed onto the picture. Slowpoke simply exists as an image meme, but not necessarily an image macro.

Advice Animal

Although Slowpoke is mainly used as an image meme. There’s also an Advice Animal-style image macro available featuring Slowpoke. This usually serves the same function as the regular Slowpoke image. Pointing out obious subjects that everyone already knows.

Although the main Slowpoke images are mainly used for trolling, the image macro version of Slowpoke is usually used for the lulz.

Example:

X happens, it’s all over the news. Impossible to avoid.
A few months later someone creates an image macro with slowpoke: “Omg guys did you hear! X happened!”
