The song sung by the talented mice has been a huge hit on Instagram, and people have been begging for the extended version of what they believed was just another AI-generated track. But things took a strange twist when an artist named Danny Dwyer took credit for the song, receipts in tow.

Where Did The 'Band of Talented Mice' Meme Originate?
One of the earliest memes featuring the AI-generated band of talented mice was posted by Instagram page @clipmodego on December 31st, 2024, showing the mice interrupting the Raise Your Ya Ya Ya meme.
The video is very reminiscent of the AI Time Travellers Interrupting Memes trend that took off earlier in 2024, except this time, the AI-interrupters came armed with an insanely catchy tune.

The same page posted another video, this time showing the mice band interrupting the infamous video of pop star Billie Eilish being hit by a fan's bracelet.
The video gathered a million views, but more importantly, it caught the attention of an artist named Danny Dwyer who said, "What the heck? That's my song!"
But Where Did The Song The Mice Band Sings Come From?
As it turns out, Danny Dwyer came with receipts. On January 13th, 2022, he posted a video of himself on a sunny mountaintop with the "Band of Talented Mice" song unmistakably playing in the background.
