Social media users are calling for Kick streamer DumbDumbJeez's ban after he streamed himself dining and dashing on a homeless woman in a viral clip making the rounds today.

The stream and ensuing controversy are quickly spreading across social media and enraging numerous viewers, who can't seem to believe what they're seeing.

Turns out, it's all part of a contest hosted by a former YouTube prankster. Here's what you need to know.

Who Is DumbDumbJeez On Kick And What Did He Do?

DumbDumbJeez is a Kick streamer with a small following. He has about 2,500 followers on Kick and 8,000 on his Instagram page. Not much is known about the streamer, who is now going viral for a recent stream involving a homeless woman.

The clip is an entry into a contest hosted by former YouTube prankster Sam Pepper for a chance to win $50,000. The contest has participants complete challenges on-stream that are laid out by Pepper.

For the first challenge, he asked participants to find a stranger and take them on a date.

In the stream, which took place on October 24th, 2024, DumbDumbJeez meets up with a homeless woman, named Mabel, to take her on a date.

The woman appears to be suffering from mental illness, as she rants to him nonsensically about being the reincarnation of Heath Ledger or one of Ledger's children placed into a new body.

The streamer takes Mabel to a nice restaurant, where they talk and order food. Then, the streamer says he left his wallet in the car. He gets up, runs from the restaurant and leaves her there before getting in a rideshare car and ending the stream. The moment of the dine and dash has since been removed from the Kick VOD.

How Is Social Media Responding To The Dine And Dash Video?

Despite removing the dine and dash clip from the VOD, someone managed to download it and start spreading it online. X accounts like @FearedBuck began sharing it that night, and it went viral, inspiring a lot of backlash towards the streamer.

It was also posted to Reddit on subreddits such as /r/Asmongold, where it gained over 1,000 upvotes in just three hours.

A lot of people were upset over the clip and suggested that DumbDumbJeez is taking advantage of the homeless person. Some called for the streamer's ban, not just from Kick, but from all platforms.

Was DumbDumbJeez Banned?

On October 25th, DumbDumbJeez was permanently banned from Kick. A Redditor claimed to have reached out to the restaurant that the date with Mabel took place at and they were informed that the staff paid for the meal. On top of that, the co-founder of Kick made a post on X claiming that if anyone knew Mabel's contact info, they would pay her $50,000.

DumbDumbJeez responded to the ban with a video pleading his innocence. In the video, he claims that the whole interaction was scripted and that he discussed the dine-and-dash with her beforehand. He even claims that he gave her the money for the meal, despite claims that the restaurant owner paid for it.
