Why Are People Saying President Joe Biden Pooped His Pants At Normandy? The Viral Allegations, Video And Memes Explained

A viral video of U.S. President Joe Biden supposedly soiling himself at the 2024 anniversary ceremony for D-Day in Normandy, France is spreading on Twitter / X and elsewhere online.

The moment shows the President shaking hands with French President Emmanuel Macron and then squatting, aiming for a chair but freezing instead, resembling his famous stomp photo. The optics, joined with negative perceptions of Biden's old age, has inferred to some that he's loading up his britches.

So, where did this rumor start? Who's spreading it and did the President really do that? Let's explain.

What's The 'Biden Pooping Himself At Normandy' Video?

The video was shared on X yesterday when President Biden was in France at a ceremony for the anniversary of D-Day (the notable World War II operation). He's seen on stage with First Lady Jill Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron and French First Lady Brigitte Macron.

After shaking hands with Macron, Biden tries to sit down but then second-guesses himself. The moment also looks like (depending on who you ask) the 81-year-old "numero uno" of the U.S. is going number two.

Who's Spreading The Rumor And Allegations?

The keyword "pooping" was trending in X's "What's happening" tab all day yesterday because multiple viral tweets were speculating that the President had soiled himself in the clip.

Many of the people who spread the rumor were Biden's opponents, existing on the political right. Conservative pundits like Tim Pool were among many right-wingers memeing about the President's pants.

Did Joe Biden Actually Poop Himself At Normandy?

There's no real evidence to confirm either conclusion. If President Biden did go poo right then and there, that means he also sat down in it and then delivered a cognizant speech immediately after, and no one around him reacted at all. So, using Occam's razor, it's most likely that he did not relieve his bowels.

Age is a big factor in the upcoming 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. Both Joe Biden and Donald Trump are the oldest candidates in U.S. history. So far, in the meme world, potshots at each candidate have (oddly) centered on them pooping in diapers.

The most notable example of this is Trump supporters literally wearing MAGA-themed diapers at Trump rallies. So, if Trump-heads want to make fun of Biden for also (most likely) wearing diapers, then the difference between these two groups is their willingness to subvert their guy's diaper rumor (even if that means looking objectively ridiculous).
