See The Winner Of November 2022's Meme Of The Month!
And the meme of November 2022 goes to …
It happened: TikTok collectively managed not only to bring back the Ohio memes, which were around since (checks calendar) 2016, but bring them back with such a force that they felt like an entirely new trend. Meet Ohio the cryptid, the SCP, the bizarro world state stuck somewhere between Pennsylvania and the otherworldly plane. With a massive presence on TikTok and more, the Ohio memes snag the first place on our poll with 20 percent of your votes.
WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE OHIO.
Twitter Blue Verified Impersonators
In the wake of Elon Musk's Twitter Acquisition at the end of November, dozens of memes and micro-trends inevitably followed, and Twitter Blue Verified Impersonations was among the most impactful, and not just humor-wise. Picture this: a fake tweet made by a person impersonating a Big Pharma company claiming that insulin will become free not only forced that company to issue an apology but also caused a 4 percent stock dip in the company's stock price, erasing over $15 billion of its market cap (if only for a few days). Spreading misinformation has never been so entertaining, and for this and much more Twitter Blue Verified Impersonations get second place in our ranking thanks to a whopping 18 percent of you.
Ghost (Modern Warfare 2)
You know him, you love him, the lovely British Task Force operator and without any doubt the November 2022 sexyman of the month, Simon "Ghost" Ridley. What can we say, they really did make Ghost sexy, and by "they" we mean both the devs (character design and dialogue) and the fandom (extensive hornyposting). Quite the opposite of ugly, Ghost, his dreamy gaze and his bruh stare get the third place with 16 percent of your votes.
Koopa Troopa Dance
In the "Stupidly Hilarious" category this month we have a meme that manages to deliver every time even though you know exactly what is going to happen: the Koopa Troopa Dance. Watching Koopas take a second-long break during funerals, court proceedings and other ill-fitted occasions to perform their signature move as the music goes "ba- ba-bah!" is plain funny on some primal level. Fourth place on our poll with 11 percent of total votes for all the unfortunately-timed Koopa Troopa Dances.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Bugs
Let's face it: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has been a buggy mess. For meme enjoyers, however, this has been a blessing in disguise, for even the most creative writing cannot compete with the accidental hilarity of glitchy releases such as Cyberpunk 2077, most Bethesda games and now the latest Pokémon installment. Disappearing Pokémon, characters levitating and stretching out of proportion, and much more: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet may not be topping any video game rankings, but its bugs easily claim the fifth place on our list (8 percent of vote total).

Goncharov
Goncharov. The 1973 movie by Martin Scorcese, presumed lost until now, narrates a story of a Russian-born mafia boss by the name of Goncharov operating in Naples and is laden with personal conflict, drama and homoerotism. Despite having a giant fandom, _Goncharov_is completely made-up. It's a spontaneous collective writing project generated by Tumblr in a fit of shoe-induced mass hysteria. There's nothing quite like it, and the greatest mafia movie never made gets sixth place with 7 percent of your votes.
Not quite making it up to the top of the list, we have seven more memes that made our month: many parodies of the Hey Everyone! Look at This Drawing of My Own Original Character webcomic (5 percent), Kobeni's very real contract with scary spooky Sloppy Blowjob Devil (4 percent), the uncomfortably sensual Lightskin Stare (4 percent), the TikTok Dabloons craze, Twitter's most famous workers Rahul Ligma and Daniel Johnson (2 percent), the tantalizing Twitter Strip Game (1 percent), the FTX Crypto Crash and the memes and sex tape threats that followed it (1 percent), and last but not least, Herobrine for late Zoomers, Faceless Ayato (<1 percent).
