Ever since Tyler Robinson became the individual identified by authorities as the suspected gunman in the shooting of political commentator Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University (UVU) in mid-September 2025, internet users have been wildly speculating about his political views and affiliations around the web.
Now, several days since his arrest, we may finally know a bit more about him, as countless internet sleuths claim they've uncovered various accounts supposedly belonging to Robinson with connections to his rumored online handle and username "craftin247."

So, what have people uncovered, and why are many now labeling Tyler Robinson as a "left-wing furry" and "Reddit kid"? Here's what we know about the alleged shooter's online past.
Who Is Tyler Robinson?
During a press conference on September 12th, 2025, Utah officials and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) named Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Washington, Utah, as the primary suspect in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
According to law enforcement, a family member contacted authorities after recalling that Robinson had previously discussed Kirk’s scheduled appearance at UVU and voiced opposition to him.
Some outlets, including the Daily Mail, reported that Robinson confessed to his father, who then alerted police. Investigators also linked a gray Dodge Challenger registered to Robinson to a vehicle reportedly seen near the scene of the shooting.

After his arrest, authorities then began to examine the online activity connected to Robinson. They stated they reviewed Discord messages attributed to him that discussed aspects of the shooting, though the platform later said this was inaccurate.
Amid this, reports from officials about the bullet casings recovered from the scene featuring internet-related engravings, like memes and catchphrases, quickly sparked discourse as people looked for anything to use to determine details about Robinson.
In particular, the engravings of "Notices Bulge / OwO What’s This?," "Hey fascist! Catch! up arrow, right arrow, three down arrows" (a reference to the Eagle 500kg Bomb in the video game Helldivers 2), "O Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao" (an Italian song dedicated to the Italian resistance fighting against the occupying troops of Germany in WW2) and "If you read this you are gay lmao" sparked considerable speculation into Robinson's personal life and beliefs, with some claiming he was a Groyper and others speculating he was a furry or radical lefist.

What Did Tyler Robinson's Former Classmate Say, And Why Is His Roommate, Lance Twiggs, Being Heavily Discussed?

Also during this timeframe, multiple media outlets, including the New York Post and Axios, reported that a person named Lance Twiggs was Robinson's roommate and "live-in transgender boyfriend," who said he was surprised upon learning of Robinson's alleged crime.
The reports from the New York Post and other sources, like Daily Mail, then began to describe Robinson's online activity as a mix of liberal-leaning political content, gamer-style humor and post-ironic memes, alongside claims about his involvement in the furry community.
What's Been Found About Tyler Robinson's Rumored Internet History?
As details about Tyler Robinson's roommate spread in mid-September 2025, internet sleuths purportedly linked a path from Lance Twiggs to various online accounts they claimed belonged to Robinson, largely from the Steam account associated with him.
For instance, on September 13th, the Twitter / X account @KanekoaTheGreat posted a thread in which they claimed to have identified various online profiles allegedly linked to Robinson, including Reddit, Steam and Fur Affinity accounts under the username "craftin247." The initial post accumulated over 652,000 views, 6,900 likes, 1,700 retweets and 210 replies within two days as users pored over them and scoured the web for info.

That same day, other users on the platform began sharing additional posts about the purported accounts, including X user @mikesulsenti, who highlighted a furry-themed video game listed on Robinson's rumored Steam profile.

Later on September 13th, X user @mikesulsenti also shared a post about Robinson's purported Fur Affinity account, which appeared to use the same handle, "Craftin247." The account was notably archived following its discovery.

Since being uncovered and purportedly linked to Tyler Robinson, many of these accounts have been removed or scrubbed from the web, fueling theories about their legitimacy.
However, it's still largely unconfirmed that any of these undoubtedly had ties to Robinson, and we likely won't know for sure unless authorities working on the case confirm anything.
