Wouldn't be the first we defeated an enemy in a Nation RP only for them to come back even stronger than ever, the last time that I happened it involved crab people, a Death Lob Star and time travel.

TURN 7

Religion

  • The population of America, having recovered from the initial wave of disease brought on by the Blood Kingdom's settlement, has exploded into unprecedented numbers. The innovation of agriculture and technology has brought many tribes directly from the stone age into the iron age. Kingdoms are rising out of these tribes rapidly, conquering neighboring peoples and filling the landscape with great cities.
  • Plague strikes Europe. The Black Death descends upon Anatolia, Italia, Germania, Iberia, Scandinavia, and eventually even Africa and Britain. Meanwhile, Malaria viciously strikes at every port city on the Mediterranean, although the cold climate of Europe prevents it from becoming an epidemic much further north. The death count is staggering and is rapidly climbing, and the new highway system connecting all nations in Europe is aiding greatly in the spread of these plagues.
  • There came into the world a blue wolf whose destiny was Heaven's will. He took for himself a fallow doe as his wife and, at the source of the Onon river, there was born the first of the Mongols. The greatest of these men, Temuchin, united the squabbling tribes of Mongolia into a great horde, promising to find greater pastures and an end to their constant blood-feuds. From this one man's determination, the dream of an empire becomes reality. Temuchin becomes known as The Great Khan, Genghis Khan, and his thundering war party storms across Asia, destroying all in its path. Persia falls to the Mongols and the loot of this formerly great empire only serves to accelerate the plans of the Mongol Empire.

Mr. Stalker
Blood Kingdom

Government: Theocratic Monarchy
Culture: The Fights, Talion Law, Lord of the Arena, Death Matches, Blood God, Human Sacrifices
Economy: Agrarian
Military: Longboats, Elite Longbowmen, Blood-Berserks, Zealot Warriors

  • As the initial shock of disease wears off, the native tribes of America are able to repopulate their lands and gradually become strong, iron-age civilizations. Still, the Bloodinites have a singificant population advantage over them for the time being, as well as significantly more advanced weaponry.
  • Settlers colonize the whole of Cuba and the rest of the islands. No further lands can be settled now without going to war with well-established nations.
  • A city in Cuba is built completely within a massive arena.
  • The Atlantic Ocean is renamed the Bloodful Ocean and, despite the incredible wisdom that went into this decision, nobody anywhere is going to start calling it that.
  • An attempt is made to tame panthers for use in war. As with all cats, they are generally uncooperative, and do their best to end the lives of their masters.
  • Most grown men are missing their middle fingers. Why, you ask? FOR THE BLOOD GOD OF COURSE. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD. CHOP OFF YOUR FINGER. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD.
  • War is declared upon the Mayans. The Blood warriors make short work of them, overwhelming the natives with superior numbers and better-made steel weapons. The surviving Mayan warriors are sacrificed to the Blood God's monstrous appetite. Many are sent to the fighting pits and kill each other with their bare hands for the glory of the Blood God
  • BLOOD GOD INTENSIFIES

Levantine Republic
Stalemate

Government: Republic
Culture: Religious Freedom, Persian Heritage, Egalitarianism, Compulsory Education
Economy: Maritime Mercantile
Military: Rogue Army
Flashpoints: Mongols

  • Friendly relations have been established with Armenia, Aksum, and Maharashtra.
  • Persia is destroyed by the Mongols, ending a nearly two-thousand year dynasty. Levant is incidentally made fully independent due to the total lack of a master.
  • The trend of giving constitutional rights to everybody expands into Levant. Egalitarian reforms guarantee equality before the law for all people.
  • Arabia is fully conquered.
  • The Mongols are on the border! They are not making any demands. It is obvious that they intend on invading soon.
  • Syserrene troops land in Egypt and occupy most of the land west of the Nile.
  • Education is mandated as compulsory for all people under 18 years of age.

Dathuastan
Soviet Marmalade

Government: Republican Monarchy
Culture: Floating Homes, Ship Builders, Tide God, Persian Heritage
Economy: Maritime Mercantile
Military: Large Fleet, Corsvaires Order, Immortals

  • The Demian dynasty is overthrown. Although a king still rules, a parliament is established and a Prime Minister elected from among their ranks holds huge amounts of power.
  • Dreadnoughts, essentially floating iron casks, are built and expected to serve better than traditional wooden ships. They do not, and the oarsmen are unfortunately unable to move them at reasonable speed. The wind cannot pull such ships either, and the prototypes are left to rust in the harbor. How unfortunate.
  • Trade is established with Armenia.
  • Persian combat methods are adopted into the army. Conscription ends and an emphasis is put on the training of elite units of Persian-style immortals.

Doon
Laud Piestrings

Government: Republic
Culture: Talion Law, Tedizm, Tundra Living, Ice Structures, Egalitarianism
Economy: Agrarian
Military: Specialist Weapons, Eits Spy Network

  • Settlers continue expanding east through the arctic circle. Ambitious scouting parties and fur trappers have charted the entire arctic, all the way to the easternmost coast.
  • Warships are sent to Nova Scotia, do nothing, and then return home.
  • Taxes are reduced, but tariffs are increased, promoting domestic growth rather than international trade.
  • The tribal chieftains are organized into a senate, based on a loose republican constitution.
  • Small military outposts are established in newly colonized areas, although their extreme remoteness and frigid cold temperatures seem to dissuade raiders easily enough.
  • Plate armor and crossbows are integrated into the army.
  • Greater rights are given to the people in the new constitution, protecting all of their decisions from criticism by state officials and judges.

Polis
Sergeant Arch Dornan

Government: Theocratic Republic
Culture: Solairism, Turtle Status, Dancing Revolution, Holy Women, Persian Heritage, Compulsory Education
Economy: Coastal Agrarian
Military: Massive Small-Boat Fleet, Sun Warrior Fanatics, Scourge Warriors, Theft Tactics

  • The insignificant small town of Rome has grown recently due to efforts to increase land-based trade into Northern Italy.
  • Missionaries team up with dancers to spread the word of the one true god. Praise the Sun!
  • Education is made compulsory for all young adults and children. Teams of scholars migrate to the Navan capital to copy the books from their great library for use in education.
  • Ambitious explorers sail west and sink into the ocean, or starve on the waves. They do not make it to the fabled western lands.
  • Theft becomes an integral part of Polic tactics, with some divisions relying entirely on stolen goods to arm themselves in times of war. This is projected to save the treasury a great deal of gold.

Vakun
You Are Reading This

Government: Republican Monarchy
Culture: Megalith Temples, Tengriism Faith
Economy: Crashed
Military: Legions, Coast Guard Quadremes, Repeating Crossbows, "Gray Men"
Flashpoints: Economic Collapse

  • A republican council is established to handle all issues of the state that are "less than" the king's concerns, essentially limiting the power of the monarchy to international affairs.
  • Mysterious individuals, clad in grey and apparently with grey skin to boot, are spotted in cities. Snooping around taverns and military outposts, they are generally spooky and assumed to be up to no good.
  • The Legions are instructed to train harder. For what, only Tengri knows.
  • The Palace is unable to continue organizing the entire efforts of the nation and the economy simply collapses all at once when farmers, miners, and craftsmen from all over stop bringing their goods to the capital. Unable to cope with the growing trade networks running through Vakun, the tradesmen of the capital are suddenly without jobs. Taxation is at an all time low. If it were not for the plagues, there would be droves of unemployed serfs wandering the countryside, unable to pay rents. Still, the crashed economy is a matter of significant concern, and should be treated delicately unless what remains of the peasantry does start to become restless.
  • Scouting parties move throughout Rus lands to chart the nation. The Minska royals are understandably upset, and vocalize their wonder about Vakuni intentions.

Mac Tíre-Madra
Spider-Byte

Government: Monarchy
Culture: Sacred Dogs, Tirius Worship, Famous Ale
Economy: Maritime Mercantile
Military: Warrior Society, Longbowmen, Legions, Wuulfgaurd

  • Funds are poured into improving the fleet. A better organized navy is formed, and trading galleys gain greater success abroad.
  • A massive temple complex is built in Scotland, serving as the burial grounds for the royal family and a site of pilgrimage for Tirius worshipers everywhere.
  • Explorers chart portions of the African coast.
  • The production of Beer becomes extremely profitable and popular. MacTire breweries are known for making the best product in Europe.
  • New mines are funded by the crown and bring much new silver into the economy.

Ovo
Twisty

Government: Feudal Republic
Culture: God Questing, Cumpulsory Education, Egalitarian
Economy: State Mercantilism, Prime Manufacturer, Paper Currency
Military: Large Longboat Navy, Austere Elites, Siege Ships, Specialist Weapons, Knights Hospitaller, Specialist Navy, Advanced Tactics

  • It is declared that the whole of Greenland is owned by Ovo. Practically nobody lives there, but map makers color it all pink so there is no doubting who owns it.
  • The navy is specialized, with different corps and ship classes being codified and added to basic tactical studies.
  • Armies advance into Kolkar and easily subdue the peaceful people of the land. Heavily armored knights of the realm encounter scantily clad, unarmed mobs of peasants and easily cut them down. The region is annexed.
  • A paper currency is distributed and gold is gradually phased out of circulation, instead being smelted into ingots to secure the value of currency.
  • The invasion of Kolkar, while being fairly easy and uneventful, allows Ovon armies to test new strategies and combined arms tactics.
  • A heavily armed detachment is sent into America and a fort is built. The Beothuk people dominate the fisheries nearby and are organized into a kingdom. Their population is rapidly expanding and they regularly launch raids in the lands surrounding the new fort.

Monarchy of Roses
Tchefuncte Bonaparte

Government: Monarchy
Culture: Warrior Poets, Gender Equality, Religious Tolerance
Economy: Agrarian
Military: Merchant Marine

  • A small toll is enacted upon the straits, bringing in a modest sum of gold.
  • Laws requiring religious tolerance are enacted.
  • Triremes dare to sail west and encounter South America. Many iron age civilizations are found there, busily stripping the jungles down and replacing them with farms eerily reminiscent of European estates.
  • A few ships partake in the further exploration of Africa's coast.

Zellania
Naschzaube Maus

Government: Elected Dictatorship
Culture: Tide God, Bakuki Theater, Hostage Nobles, Lion Pride
Economy: City-State Maritime Mercantile
Military: Specialist Fleet, Testudo Pikemen, Galleons

  • Slavia requests assistance against the Syserrene aggressors.
  • Tidal missionaries are shipped out to spread the word of the one true god. Deus vult!
  • The massive galleon makes its way into the Zellanian navy. Incapable of navigating the harsh coastlines of the Mediterranean, this ship is generally unused by traders. It finds its home on deeper, wide open waters, where it can efficiently carry huge quantities of cargo over long distances. This aids Zellania a bit in expanding trade routes to the North Sea.
  • Lions are imported from North Africa for the personal menageries of the wealthiest merchants and noblemen. The ownership of a living lion has become a status symbol among the elite of society.

Naval Monte
CrowTheMagician

Government: Constitutional Republic
Culture: Totemic Rites, Gender Equality, Infinity Faith, Meritocracy, Persian Heritage, Egalitarianism
Economy: State Mercantilism
Military: Large Galley Fleet, Meritocracy, Elite Horse Archers, Shadow Men, Specialist Forces, Specialist Fleets, Longboats

  • The constitution is revised to include a plethora of egalitarian measures defending things such as religious freedom, gender equality, racial tolerance, and voting rights. The National Diet also decides to meet at least once every four years, just in case they weren't meeting already.
  • Longboats are added to the fleet and explorers travel along the west coast of Africa in search of new lands. They bring back with them Malaria, which quickly spreads through the trade lanes to all corners of the Mediterranean and kills hundreds of thousands of people.
  • Taking after the Ovon decision of state run exports and imports, Naval Monte adopts the Mercantilist system. Manufacturing rates increase and the economy of the cities is boosted as raw materials are forced to remain within Navan borders until a finished product is made.
  • Siege engines are constructed for reasons we can only guess at.
  • Highways systems across North Africa are connected purposefully to make one single road stretching from Egypt to Marrakesh.

Kingdom of Riveria
Crimeariver

Government: Feudal Monarchy
Culture: Dendrolatry, Spruceborn Faith, Economic Principles, Persian Heritage
Economy: Agrarian, Mercantile
Military: Mob Army, Fortified Alps, Civic Duty Archers, Galleons

  • The first Galleons make their way onto the sea. These massive ships are capable of carrying a huge quantity of goods, but have comparably poor maneuverability when compared to galleys. They aid Riveria in trading with far-away ports, but most other trade is still handled by smaller ships.
  • Windmills and watermills become fairly popular means of milling automatically. The agricultural yield of Riveria increases, as does the general production value of villages as the farmers and their wives have more time to work on other projects.
  • A book on the principles of economics is written and becomes fairly popular among Riverian merchants.

States of the Rising Sword
TillsterRulz

Government: Loose Confederation
Culture: Honor, Meritocratic Mystery Cults, Meritocracy, Guilds
Economy: Agrarian Fishing Villages
Military: Berserks, Bonfire Watchtowers
Flashpoints: Disunity

  • Guilds are established for those skilled in particular crafts. The guilds organize craftsmen from across the country, allowing for organized and standardized methods of production, greatly aiding the economic growth of cities.
  • The Sword tribes have lost much of the power they once had, and a crisis now effects the nation. With no solid power structure and the tribal chieftains rapidly losing status, there are no real leaders in the nation. The States could rapidly crumble into feuding petty kingdoms unless something is quickly done to unify the nation.
  • Coastal towns and castles are fortified with pike lines dug into the beaches.
  • The fleet is fully scuttled or sold to fishing villages. The rise of fishing fleets has led to the States becoming the single greatest producer and exporter of salted fish.
  • A massive college is constructed in the Capital. It is a hub of all fields of learning, as well as acting as the headquarters for most guilds.

Syserror
Butterscotch (of Death)

Government: Elected Dual Dictatorship
Culture: Kebab Faith, Free Religion, Persian Heritage
Economy: Maritime Mercantile
Military: Military Schooling, Knights of Iskender, Galleons

  • An order of knights is founded by the name of Iskender. They operate mostly in educational pursuits, seeking to train new heavy cavalry units.
  • The offer of statehood sent to Slavia is rejected. They remain fiercely independent.
  • Egypt is invaded by the sea. The war with Levant has completely cut off access to the silk road, crippling the economy of the entire Mediterranean.
  • Settlers land in Mauritania and are wiped out by malaria and savage natives.
  • Religious freedom is codified into law. Muslims are welcomed to Syserror, and Islamic missionaries are established throughout Anatolia.
  • A new ships class, named the Galleon, premiers in Syserror. This massive hulking behemoth of a ship is ill suited for the shallow, meandering coasts of the Aegean, finding a more suitable home on the open waters of the Atlantic. There, it is capable of carrying huge quantities of cargo large distances in a relatively short time span.
  • Roads are repaved.

Huh…this was unexpected.

well, time to be more Bloody.
wait no. you know what. they believe in the blood god. they are my brethren, and they will treated as so. THE AMERICAS ARE THE CHILDREN OF BLOOD! EUROS GO FUCK YOSELFS!
I AM HERE BY THE DEFENDER OF THE AMERICAS.

Just… why?
Did Crow put you up to this? Just when the Mongols are rolling in. Asshole.

I had nothing to do with this. My original plan was to kill whatever remaining Persians were left with my assassins but I changed it to the longboats once our deal fell apart (which did more harm to everyone by mistake thanks to Malaria, my bad there).

Unless you feel like fighting against neighbors I suggest you make long boats and join in the age of exploration.

So it looks like I have to rework my entire government, that should be fun.

And does anyone know how we're going to survive the fucking plague?

PRAISE THE BLOOD GOD

i think the loose confrederation need some updating. make sure to have the same religion too.

also i think you should avoid trading. the plague spreads fast with trade.

If history is any indication we're just gonna have to wait out the plague. There wasn't really any medical technology at this point besides herbal concoctions (and before anyone tries, that's way to advanced and would probably just be a waste of actions).

Considering that a certain someone has turned them all into blood-lustful warmongers I don't think there are any peaceful tribes anymore.

Oi!

Just because we pray to the Blood God (FOREVER SHALL THE BLOOD RIVER FLOW!) doesn't mean we will kill you, i mean i just said i will help anyone come here.

#NotallBloodGodWorshipers

But really if you need help coming here without some random nation destroying you. just talk me.

Can anyone at least help me with the Mongols? If we end up succeeding, we could avoid one big shitstorm or at least hold out until Genghis Khan, Kublai Khan etc are suceeded.

You Are Reading This wrote:

in the state "constantinople" is right now, it would totally fall to the mongols, i fear since we have so little time blue might not be able to fortify it enough to survive, so right now yall better prepare for a mongol invasion on europe

[Mongol hype intensifies]

I actually got so excited that I went on Amazon and bought The Secret History of the Mongols.

I want to, but I'm suffering from economic collapse. You are also in the Middle East, making it seem like an attrition nightmare

Euro is fucked. Better make a combined force to get the fuck out of there.

I need Marmalade and maybe Laud's help. I doubt BSoD would be of any use to me, since he's invaded my territory before the Mongols will.

Of the player nations, Dathuastan and Syserror stand to lose the most if the Mongols follow their historical path of conquest. Mongol Empire in 1250 CE:

Don't worry guys, I got this.

As long as YART holds his wall we should all be fine. And considering the Mongols relied heavily on cavalry archers we should be ok.

Crimeariver wrote:

isnt YART on an economic crisis? that wouldnt be good for holding

You know I remember hearing about how the Mongols would use plague infected bodies as biological weapons when they are attacking towns that are heavily fortified. Also while they made safe trade routes those same trade routes also helped on spreading diseases.

Unfortunately I can't back you in terms of military because I don't technically have one, and I can't back you financially due to the fact that I'm undertaking a rather large project this turn.

However, I can recommend that you burn down the trees to the east of the wall so that the Mongols will be unable to buy siege engines. They may end up hauling timber from somewhere else to construct them but it'll still slow them down considerably and it shouldn't hurt you economy too much (unless you rely solely on the timber industry).

I think if the Mongols make it all the way to your borders you should surrender to them and show them and give them your entire naval force just to spite Spider-Byte.

They did make ships to invade Japan but a monsoon stop them in their track. Though if they did try to invade Britina by sea that there is no way for them to rely on a weather phenomenon to save them.

i think by the time they reach me they might be too weak from all the fights so i can just blow in their direction

atleast thats what i hope

By that point we can assume they have taken you over completely. So in that case I technically beat you by surviving longer.

hey, i still got my colonies in greenland, so i can still win you in survival

Can anyone just step in and help with the Mongols? And by that I mean anyome who wasn't hit too hard by the plague or an economic recession.

Also I feel that spy networks and covert ops could come in handy if we play our cards right.
