I don't really follow that tumblr to be honest, if anything I just keep track of what's posted here.

As for signatures, that's one of the things I really don't like about these forums is the lack of signatures, the other is not being able to post from any of the pages, particularly when why that was done doesn't work.

First things first, let's get the things I Like out of the way.

• More or less, the fandom in itself
  It's welcoming, it's polite, and I've never met a brony who feels they were entitled to anything.
• The art
  At least, of the noncrappy variety. I have so many awesome Vinyl pictures saved on my hard drive right now….
• Fanfics
  Once again, of the noncrappy variety, at least. I don't like fanfiction for anything else. Why I like it for ponies? I'll never know.
• tumblrs
  They tend to be hilarious and well drawn.
• This
  That

Now… time for apathy.

• PMVs
  They're not really my thing. Dunno why. I don't really dislike them, though.
• Ponifications
  Sometimes, seeing a celebrity or… something… I like turned into a pony is… very unnerving, to say the least.
• Shipping
  It's mostly just there. I don't have much of an opinion on it.
• OCs
  They can suck, or they can… not suck. One or the other.
• Humanizations
  I'm leaning a bit more towards "dislike" with this, though. To me, they always will be ponies. Nothing else.

Things I dislike!

• Fans influencing the show
  It's Studio B's show. Not yours. In most cases, I hate this.
• Grimdark
  Dude… they're candy colored equines who learn about friendship. Why would you want to cook them into a cupcake or make them fight war or… something?
• THE BLOBS
  These things just scare me.
• The Fluttershy obsession
  Yes, she's adorable, but as a character she's a little flat.
• The Rarity hate
  Seriously, why does everyone hate Rarity so much?

Time for the best part: Things I want to completely abolish and never see in this fandom again ever!

• RULE 34 (Betcha didn't see this one coming. /sarcasm)
  Yeah, yeah, I know, "No exceptions", blah blah blah. I don't like it. I want it to die. This includes art, clopfics, and what have you.
  For the record, I'm not saying I can stop it. I know I can't, and I'm not trying to.

Well, no it's not, but if I pointed the other things out, I would step on a lot of toes. More than I probably already have, believe it or not.

Well… It's not exactly that simple. There are a lot of reasons why an artist's signature being removed from their artwork would upset them; things like identifying that it's yours without depending on someone on another site to give you credit, showing that it was your idea, some legal shit, ect.

Don't be sad. If you are really concerned about it then email, I'm sure the author would understand. They did mention you in the fic itself.

And Gigatoast, yeah, not to sound like a dick, but just leave it be. You had a pretty big signature on that picture anyways, and it wouldn't look very nice for a header picture with that watermark, now would it?

Good luck with that last one, cause as I've said multipule times, it's not happening. It's like trolls, if you don't like it, just ignore it. As for Fluttershy, her personality is why I like her, which comes to Rarity. Her personality is why I dislike her.

Okay, so I agree with most of what you said there, except the Rarity thing. The reason why I'm inclined to dislike Rarity is the following. I find her attitude irritating and tiresome, and I think her character is a rather poorly-executed pastiche of the narcissism and abrasiveness of a typical self-obsessed fashion designer. While I do like how she was portrayed in Sisterhooves Social (I don't think anyone can say they don't like that), her character, to me, still seems kinda flat – not as one-dimensional as Fluttershy, but still not as deep as some of the others.

But I will say this: Tabitha St Germain (or whatever the VA's name is) does an excellent job.

Aye. I only included it because I was making a semi comprehensive list. I wasn't trying to start a flamewar about it.

Just so you all know, it's been confirmed that Hasbro has been taking down YouTube videos.

Not sure what to think of that… I was cool with them giving PonyArchive the banhammer, but if this gets any worse it could seriously hurt the fandom.

Yeah, I heard about that. Kinda of a problem for people who cant use iTunes purchase because of not being in the US. Anyone know where the DVD will be released (regions/countries)? Better not be limited in regions again. People are loosing access to the show.

I think it's the YouTube videos. Seth mentioned something about a typo in one of the takedown notifications, and I seem to recall once making a comment on that a few threads back where I presented it as evidence that Hasbro wasn't the cause (well, looks like I was wrong). I really hope you're right though.

I'd actually prefer it if you ran the room. I always get too distracted trying to find good quality uploads and end up missing half of the conversations.

I'm sure ponyarchive wasnt and is the only place to get the shows. Sear the intertubes and I'm sure you'll find a pirate copy somewhere.

I'm not really too fussed about youtube episodes going down….I mean, I've watched anime illegally for over a decade now.

Well, I 'spose even if it is actually Hasbro's lawyers taking the videos down that doesn't really change anything. There'll still be streams up on premiere day which wont be taken down right away and those of us who can buy them on iTunes will get the full HD versions the next day.

So all it really means is that there isn't just an army of extremely dedicated trolls working round the clock to mess with people who want to watch them on YouTube. And we actually have the ability to contact them.

I don't get why they'd want to remove the show, especally since that's like where a lot of the exposure is.

I could begrudgingly agree to this if they would make their channel more mainstream so that most people would have access to it on TV.
They're going to end up shooting themselves in the foot if they try to hard.

Pretty much, or as I said, box sets would be nice.

The DVD is being relised to north america, and Europe. Other than that I'm clueless.

Sounds good. US, Canada, and Europe covered by DVD would be major help to the show (and help stop the piracy [which is the only way to obtain show in regions not covered :( ] )
