More R34 discussion and loads of butthurt and rustled jimmies over trolling? Geez Louize the XIV. Someone trolled. It happens all the time. He didn't break any rules, so let's just go our merry ways and let him do his thing and we'll do ours.

New page. Throw everything out and start over.

@Derpy next to me

Derpy next to me? First, I'd get her out of my house so she didn't break anything (Lego swag, just rebuilt my classic Rebel Blockade Runner worth over 1,000 dollars). Then we'd probably get some food or something at some vegetarian place, since I'm hungry, and just enjoy other people's reactions.

Also, new topic I ripped from EQD: (Fuck you Sethisto. Fuck you and all your Trixies!)

Trixie has once again summoned you to Equestria, because why not? She's great and powerful, she can do anything she damn well pleases.

Unfortunately, something screwed up the spell (Trixie is 100% sure the shopkeeper mixed up the crushed ginseng with mandrake root, woops), and you have a month to live. Because she can't have you running around Equestria unattended, you are being assigned the pony of your choice to hang with. You will have one month to do anything you damn well please with them before a micro black hole rips you apart atom by atom in the blink of an eye (Trixie assures you that you won't feel a thing). Might as well make the best of it right?

Choose a pony. It can be a mane cast pony, a background pony, or even a statue of a pony. Hell, Trixie is throwing the original Fallout Equestria cast (In colorful Equestria, not wasteland) and Nyx into the mix for all you fanfic fiends too!

Choose what you want to do with said pony for a month. Maybe hang with Twilight and read books? Create a makeshift hanglider and fly around with Dash? Serve Trixie's every need as a stagehand with absolutely no pay or benefits? It's up to you!

The spell is irreversible, so choose wisely!

First, karma on posts is related to the content on that specific post. So my point on his posts being legit still stands. Second, based on that you want the images removed, I can guess you also downvoted him by which you actually proof me correct on butthurt being a factor to take in consideration. Lastly, it was you who told me in this discussion that I should take the very possible fact that he's trolling into consideration, but now that I'm doing that I'm suddenly the one that lacks logic? I never said he wasn't trolling, I only said his images were related to the image gallery regardless of trolling being a factor.

Nah bitch, no one be dissing my homeboy randomMan. You be cruising for a bruising son. Serouisly though, just ignore it if it bothers you. I don't understand why his comment got downvoted. He did nothing wrong. If you are butthurt for something he had done in the past, put some preparation H on that shit and forget about it.

First AND second, karma on the posts and downvoting the images is all we can really do, since we can't actually do the responsible thing and remove them ourselves. Lastly, you put 'regardless' and 'trolling' in the same sentence, which says enough.

At least I actually tried.

This is pony general, not "bitch about someone because I'm butthurt" general. RandomMan sees nothing wrong with this guy, just forget about it. If he's not doing anything wrong, there is nothing randomMan needs to do. Just drop it or PM randomMan about it.

Post above me: hehe, that was pretty funny actually.

About Gilda, I think it was her attitude, she was a complete and udder *, and yes, I know that Trixie was as well, but Trixie was just outright hammy. Gilda on the other hand? Yeah, she was just a downright *.

Personally, if there are Trixie and Gilda episodes in Season 3, I'd be looking forward to the Trixie episode more.

RandomMan wrote:

Meh, could've been worse. I already made my opinion on their ego. But I won't go too deep into it, I know we have some of the commenters who lurk here. Although I don't know which users do lurk, I just know they're there. But the comments section has enough good sides as well. Only saying they suck makes us no better than youtube comments.

Seriously, I'm seeing people who claim the forum is far better than the comments while agreeing with my comment on their ego. Irony much?

I really can't say that the forum is perfect either. We had shitstorms far worse than the comment section ever knew. The comments had their shitstorms as well in the past, but that was before we started using the forum more actively. If you take out the factor that we're two different groups, we're not that much better. Truth remains though that this forum allows far better discussion, including your occasional random images.

The less trolls can be explained by two reasons. First is that a lot of users don't check out the forum. We simply don't have an active forum compared to active comments, which I often find too bad. Second is that mods check the forum more often than the comments, making it a bigger risk for trolls and haters to be caught in the act. And karma, let's not forget about karma.

We had a burst of activity it seems, I gotta quote a while back.

Now hold on here. You make it sound like I'm the one with the ego now. I was comparing this thread and that comment section on technical terms. I was not comparing the attitudes or habits of the posters in question

There is no irony in pointing out that this thread comes with many more convenient features that makes discussion far more easier. I'm not being prideful of this thread, I'm just pointing out a simple truth.

My agreement with your statements on ego were in regards to how the comment section Bronies handle trolls. You claimed that those guys had a level of overconfidence in how they "defeat" trolls:

Sure, the comment section likes to act all high and mighty on how they’re “untrollable”, but that’s just their ego at work. Maybe they don’t bother as much as other communties, but I’ll still say they’re gullible at times. At least they’re willing to give arguments and respond normally when asked for it. But there’s still enough butthurt found at times with a troll.

If this site was really untrollable, all the obvious troll comments would be 100% ignored or countered in such a fashion that there’s no reasonable comeback from the troll.

This is the post that I agreed with. But I never claimed that people here were any better in that regard.

The closest I came to suggesting that was when I said we had less trolls here but again that's just another simple truth which exists for the reason you just explained. Again, it had nothing to do with how much "better" we are as posters

@Phoneix

Maybe one of these days I’ll get over my shyness and meet up with you. I still have to figure out how to explain to my Saudi friends how the fuck I finally made some Kiwi friends (I’ve been in New Zealand for 2 years and have yet to befriend a Kiwi 0_o). In an emergency this is our excuse:

You’re a human resources major at Massey University Albany’s School of Business.

That will be our cover story. No mention of ponies whatsoever. GOT THAT?!
About Rule 34 in the documentary…has the whole Slave Leia metal bikini thing ever been seriously studied in a documentary before…?

At some point i'll get off my lazy ass get back over to Auckland where I should be. We should go drinking sometime, that would be fun.

And yea, were just HR majors doing research. Got it. Totally not up to anything potentially destructive and wild

@Zar

Impersonation is against the forum rules so report him to a mod. Posting about that here wont help you help you much but PM'ing a mod will

Damn it, looks like we're dealing with trolls here.

I got through season 1…I don't want to call myself a brony…but I feel like rewatching some of the episodes before proceeding on.

We're always dealing with trolls unfortunately.

Also, Season 2, you know you want to watch it. Then you can go back and rewatch all the episodes to see if you're a fan or not.

@Arrow to the knee
(I know I'm repeating some of Random's stuff, but I'm bored.)
For being supposedly 'untrollable,' some bronies go completely crazy over the silliest stuff.
Even when they were 'popular,' I never once thought that AttK jokes were funny, so I can certainly say that these current ones do nothing for me.
They are, however, fully relevant to the article and only his initial dump of ~30 at once approached an actual offense.
I was astounded by the reaction he got.
He's been flooded with hate on his wall to the point that it's simply ridiculous.
There are two possibilities here:

1. He's trolling.
If so, he's won with a lot of people.
Down votes and hate comments are exactly what he's going for, and he's gotten enough to last a lifetime.
If you suspect trolling, just ignore.
Without attention, they will either go somewhere else or intensify their attacks, likely leading to a ban.
Either way, they'll be gone.

2. He genuinely enjoys them.
As much as I don't understand why, plenty of people seemed to like the original meme, so someone finding these jokes funny is not unheard of.
In this case, he's just a bad stand-up comic who won't get off the stage.
Oddly enough, the solution is the same.
Bad comedians feed off of the hate they receive, so just ignore them.

Despite this, every one of his uploads gets downvoted into oblivion and a fresh wave of hate washes over his wall like clockwork.
'Untrollable,' my ass.

Apparently we're talking about Francis Crock. As I said, I don't really care about that stuff. I find the first commentators more annoying.

Oh how annoying those first commentators are.

First response! I'm sorry I haven't posted in… 2 days I guess. I just find all these arguments over trolls incredibly pointless. So what if some dude is being butthurt over a person, and one person is trying to make others butthurt. Continuous arguing over said subject ain't gonna help with either cause, really. And we all end up repeating the same key phrases over and over again, and everyone ends up constipated. But really man, Saturday. What a busy day. Fell asleep at 5 in the mornin', had to wake up at 8 for a Skype meeting with some other bronies for a game that barely has made it out of conceptual stage. Then I had to prepare myself for an Honor Guard gig we had. Didn't come home until around 9. God I needed a nap.

Well… I've been away from you friends in the forums and IRL friends for a few days. I am so ronery.

If there are no other topics for now, I'll take my leave.

Hah, Sorry but I don't drink or go to bars and stuff. I will gladly help your drunken ass get to a safe location after you drown yourself in alcohol.

But I do have to agree, I don't think arguing over the subject of trolls and people responding to trolls is going to get anywhere.

I would hug her until her eyes underped. Trust me when I say that would take a long time.

@Phoneix

Fine then, more bourbon for me. I guess you can just watch me get smashed again and dance stupidly in clubs. You can make sure I don't get lost in the alleyways and/or potentially stolen. Twins and Alejandro would get so mad if they got robbed, they payed so much money for me.

So what else can we do besides drinking? Play TF2? Rob a bank? Dress into our favorite pony cosplays? Rob a bank while dressed into our favorite pony cosplays?

It's fun ranting about trolls, it makes us feel better about ourselves because at least our lives are not as rock bottom as theirs.

Join in on the fun, just follow my lead: "Them trolls! So annoying! Razzle Frazzle! Somebody aught to ban them!"

The only one I don't recognize is the last one. Also, I'm not entirely sure what the yellow-maned Wonderbolt is called, so I just called her Surprise.

Wow, I'm gone for a week and you guys fill up the last thread and add 13 pages in this one. You guys are all made of 24 karat awesome.

Half of those pages have been dicussing Rule 34, complaining about trolls and then repeatedly agreeing that the prior two topics are pointless and that we should stop. Which we never do.

But all I do is complain! Welcome back! Have second best pony.

Edit @Edan

Last pony is Vinyl. COM'ON MAN! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! And as far as yellow-maned Wonderbolt goes, Surprise is as good a guess as any. Fleetfoot and Rapidfire are the only other two Wonderbolts with names, and of the two we only know what Rapidfire looks like from when he won the race, and if I remember correctly his mane is white or orange.

I think that's what everyone calls that particular Wonderbolt since she does kinda look like Surprise.

Ashki wrote:

Well, we never did get actual confirmation if that is Surprise or not though, unless that picture you posted is offical.

There's no confirmation of it being Surprise in the show; Surprise isn't actually in the show at all, but that'd be a cool way to do a little nod to the fans of the previous generations, much more so than it would be a nod to bronies. Surprise is only a Wonderbolt in the Ask Surprise Tumblr, and in most people's fanons I guess.

Hmmm. Anything else to add… looks like the past several topics consist mostly of a whole lot of stuff I rigorously avoid. I'd go with the hypothetical Derpy sitting next to me or month in Equestria ones, but I've never been too good at mixing reality and ponies. Guess there's always tomorrow.

So have some more Surprise, with bonus Posey.

Just came back from a friend's birthday party, and by that I mean I've been home for a few hours, except I've been drunk off my ass this entire time. I didn't even have that much to drink; it's probably because I never drink at all. I don't even know why I did this time, I guess it's peer pressure or something. It's actually kind of funny actually, they had some Jack Daniel's whiskey and I drank some of it and I thought it was supposed to be cider or something beacuse Applejack except it wasn't cider at all but I kept on drinking anyway beacuse it tasted pretty good unlike beer which I don't like one bit and then I got like this which I don't like one bit either.

I'm getting too lazy to make this actually a coherent narrative and this is probably tangential to the thread as a whole, so I guess I'll make this post related to ponies somehow.

It's Applejack sleeping, and it's really convenient because I just got it off the front page of derpibooru beacuse I'm to drunk to actually look for stuff but it sort of fits here except its not daytime right now. Speaking of which, I should be sleeping too. Good night everypony.

Ugh, I'm going to be hungover in the morning, which is probably going to be worse than now. Shit merde paska meh overreacting

Bitch please, that was a little too easy.
(Now that I've said that, it's almost guaranteed that I've got some of them wrong)

You want a real challenge? Click here. It leads to a game where you have 12 minutes to name 72 season 1 characters in the image below:

I tried it way back when I was still a newbie posting in the comments section, way before we even migrated to Pony General 1, and I think I got something like 69/72. Try it, it's good fun, especially when you're desperately trying to remember what Background Pony #273's fanon name is. One of them is pretty damn obscure.

@Post above
Drunk Twins is best Twins.

@Twins

>Only had a few drinks.
>Already drunk of her ass.

Amateur.

But hey, you posted drunk, nice job. I've been in the IRC a few times drunk and even once during a synchtube. Was fun.

You're expecting too much from being drunk Twins. I've been drunk many times, but never had a hangover. Just make sure you catch enough hours of sleep and if possible take a shower or something after you returned (trust me, it helps). Drinking a few glasses of water after you got home might also work. Being extremely tired from drinking is normal, but it doesn't automatically mean you have a hangover the next morning. And when it comes to throwing up, that's just a matter of getting to know your limits. Happened to me once and I threw up 3 times back then (once when I got home, twice the next day, all the times straight in the toilet, succes.jpg). After that it never happened again, as you then know when you should stop to avoid getting sick again. Of course you have people who get that multiple times, but those are just ignorant. I think you're wise enough.

But let's not forget I'm a beer drinker. In the Netherlands, beer is your standard alcoholic beverage, and not something you drink just one or two glasses from when having fun with friends. But don't forget you're female, females simply don't like beer as often as males. I know a few females who like to drink beer, but most simply like to stick to other beverages.

@Drunk Twins

You drunk posted…I…(sniffle)…I'm so proud of you…

Especially from the fact that you tried Jack Daniels, a fine choice if I do say so myself. Forget beer, you have too much class for that stuff.

Pretty gutsy of you to go after such an "advanced" drink despite rarely drinking yourself. If you are not used to alcohol then JD's will hit you hard (hence getting drunk so quickly from a few sips). I would recommend you start with something lighter

Last edited Jul 10, 2012 at 08:02AM EDT

@BSoD

Allow me to ask your opinion for this one. As I am such a huge James Bond fan, I've decided to make my first alcoholic drink a Vesper Martini. If you are unaware of how that is made, allow me to quote from the 1953 book Casino Royale.

"Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon-peel."

Now, I am aware that Kina Lillet is now jut called Lillet and that it is hard to find, so if necessary I can just switch to a different dry Vermouth if necessary, but what is your opinion on that? Would that be better or worse than going for Jack Daniel's first?

@Flare

Gordons, Kina Lillet and Vodka vs Whiskey…hmmm

Gordons? Not sure what that is…jargon for something but I know that Lillet is a variety of Wine. I'm going to assume that "Gordon" is something of similar type. I could estimate that this is a martini with a pretty good alcohol content but I can't say if its going to be any more or less devastating that JD's.

I'm going to go on a whim and suggest that JD's may be safer since that's just whiskey. Your Versper Martini on the other hand is a blend of Vodka (straight?) and Wine. That should pack a punch.

Wine is kick ass stuff. I can handle Bourbon, Beer and Vodka and not feel a damn thing but Wine…goddam Wine…it always gives me a hangover no matter how much water I drink. Your experience may differ though.

Try your martini anyway but take it easy. The first time I drank alcohol I got trashed off just two RTD's at 5% alcohol. Your martini is just one glass but depending on the vodka used, could be well over 20%. Meanwhile JD's taken straight has a content of 40%. But you don't drink that straight anyway, you always mix it with something.

[edit]

Oh look, a Wikipedia article how convenient.

So yea, the Vesper martini contains Straight Gin (37.5-50%) and Straight Vodka (40-60%) with a bit of wine (9-26%)…as your first drink ever, it will most likely kick your ass

@Drunk twins

You know, when guys post drunk it's usually obnoxious. When girls do it, it's kind of cute. Sexism ftw.

@RandomMan

I used to be like you and never get hangovers. Eventually as I got older however, I lost my tolerance for it and the booze really started to kick my ass. Whenever I drank to intoxication, I would spend the next day with a massive hangover barfing my guts out. That hurt my arrogant pride more than anything.

And then there's the fact that I realized I don't even enjoy getting wasted. I can't think clearly and it makes me even more depressed than usual. So I thought "I get to waste the night being depressed and stupid so that I can be sick all the next day? Ya, fuck dat."

I do still enjoy my Guinness with dinner however, or a nice apple cider. Ah, delicious cider.
