I just uploaded my latest PMV. I worked really hard on it and it’s my longest video yet.
I don’t mean to sound selfish, but could you guys please watch it and tell me what you think? I want to continue making more videos and this and I could use some feedback. Again, I don’t wanna sound selfish, but I could really use the support. Thanks.

Rainbow Dash is awesomest pony

sure, i hated her punk-ass attitude. but considering that she and dashie were best friends before, i don't see why not. you know, kind of like a "redemption" episode or something. i bet it would be heartwarming too.

Finally someone who actually agrees with me!
As much as I would love to see Trixie return (and I definitely would!), Gilda just makes so much more sense.
The way her departure was voiced in the show gave me the impression that she was truly hurt by Rainbow Dash turning against her, and her blustering on the way out was just an attempt to save face.
Have her return to make amends, but have the ponies be very reluctant, maybe even openly hostile, to forgiving her.
It would be an interesting role reversal (ponies being in the wrong, former antagonist doing right) while giving a great opportunity for a lesson about forgiveness.
I've seen at least a couple fanfics that tackle this angle in ways that would be completely doable and believable in canon.

Trixie, on the other hoof, has no reason to return for redemption.
She didn't know anypony when she came to town, she didn't really make any connections while there, and she left without showing more than a passing hint of remorse.
Her ego is just too big for her to admit any significant wrongdoing, so I would rather have her return for revenge.
Silly, doomed-to-fail revenge.
She has the perfect level of undeserved self-confidence and theatricality to make it work, too.

Ugh, I don't know if I could stomach that unless she apologizes to Fluttershy.

Oh, and by the way, Rainbow Dash has quite the ego on her, which is why she is my least favorite of the group

@sketch: I've actually come to like rainbow dash more actually. Funny thing is that I used to hate her for being a glory hound, arrogant, stubborn, and kinda mean spirited when it comes to jokes and that's pretty much me. Out of all the characters, I'd say my attitude is most like hers.

Ok, I think it's safe to say this discussion has officially jumped the shark again and should probably be dropped for at least a single damn page. Seriously? What's wrong with you people? You can't think of anything else to talk about?

@Zarathh
That's some weepypasta so absurd it makes you feel dumber for looking at.

@R34 Community

Yes, yes, I know, drop topic and shit, but I want to say one final thing.

Remember the Lyra Plushie?

For research on the entry I had to contact the buyer, so I could find out if he received it already. The first account I found of him was on a site that mainly contained a lot of furry porn. Through the PM I send him asking the question, I also made made an indirect comment that I could guess he would use the thing for its original intention (a sex doll). He didn't deny it. But besides that he was really cool about me contacting him, he had no trouble at all to help me out and would happily answer me if I had any more questions for the entry.

So yeah, even the most extreme types of Rule 34 bronies have their good sides.

@Megalolzors

>Return
>Trixie

No, please no. Don't let Trixie return. EqD finally lowered down a bit on constanly mentioning Trixie in their posts. Giving Trixie a new appearance will put that all into ruin again. Plus Trixie is my least favorite pony.

(@Sketch: A lot of bronies hoped Trixie was the Mare-Do-Well, so that's most likely where you got it from. It's a large part of the shitstorm surrounding that episode when it later turned out to be it wasn't Trixie.)

If I wanted a one-episode pony to return, I'd most likely go with one of the character from Appleloosa. Letting them visit Ponyville and forcing them to change their western behavior to fit more with the Ponyville ponies can make for a fun episode. I dislike the bitch characters, so I don't really would like to see Gilda, Trixie or Blueblood return.

i don't mind Trixie returning though. but then again, she's a bit…. irrelevant to me, personally. but a "revenge plot against Twi gone wrong" episode starring her? that would be hilarious.

Well, I still dislike her, and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon unless her personality does, which I doubt it will.

@RandomMan: I think another reason that episode is disliked is because of the rest of the cast's treatment towards Dash. Personally, I thought her ego got the smackdown it so rightfully needed. Shame it returned in May the Best Pet Win until the end of that epiosde.

Also, funny you mention Blueblood since people loathe him, but I will mention it…Rarity has a lot of those qualities, and yet people like her.

Man, I hope you don't take this the long way, but I really didn't care for that video. I know it sucks working really hard on something and hearing someone say that having experienced it myself many a time, but I just didn't like that video.

I feel that there was a huge problem with the first half in that you had slow music paired with a lot of action on screen. Just didn't synch up well. The second half was better because at least the music matched the action a little better, but just thematically speaking, that kind of music does not make me think of Rainbow Dash. It's too deep and angsty, Dash evokes a more silly, superficial kind of rock music like Guns n' Roses or Ac/Dc

I only bring this up because I feel these are things that could help your future PMVs, and I would want someone to criticize me if it meant I would improve for it.

@Sketch not liking Rainbow Dash

That's ok, you're allowed to have an opinion. Heck, it's not like I would get mad at a 5 year old for having the opinion that 2 × 4 =12.

@Character returning

Eh, I don't want a "Gilda is redeemed" episode mostly because I just don't like Gilda. I mean, she just struck me as really mean-spirited, she didn't strike me as a character that was tragically pushed into being a bitch, a rich character for redemption, but just kind of struck me as a bitch by nature.

Thing is, there can be a certain kind of integrity in being a bitch and not apologizing for it. If Gilda decided to try for redemption, she wouldn't be doing so because she legitimately felt the want or desire to change, she'd be doing it because she wanted to get back on Dash's good side. This would make her not only a bitch, but a bitch of weak character, someone willing to compromise themselves in order to appease others. This to me is the epitome of what it means to be loathsome scum.

I think I'd like a Trixie episode just because I'd love to see her hamming it up again. I think it'd be cool not to have her come back to ponyville, but to have one of the mane six maybe come across her while they're out of town. Perhaps have it be Fluttershy, perhaps we discover that Trixie actually has a soft-spot for animals and her and Flutters bond over it only for Trixie to later discover that Flutters is friends with those hicks from Ponyville who humiliated her. I think that'd be interesting.

@Trixie or Gilda

I have no personal preference; to me, each would make for a pretty good episode. However, I feel like another Trixie episode is much more likely, seeing as she left Ponyville in a manner that made us feel sorry for her, hence people like Sethisto going "GRARBARBLE TRIXIE IS BEST PONY." Gilda's exit was not entirely endearing to me, as evidenced by the general shafting she recieves from the fandom.

@Unrelated

Just got off playing some TF2, dominated a guy named Crush Kill Destroy Swag. We should definitely get a Pony General game going when I'm actually able to play.

Alright, so today I had a massive headache. What sucked the most about it was that the sound of my instruments made me want to jam a sharpened steel dildo into my right eye socket.

So, unable to pursue my music and being in a artsy mood, I figured "hey, why don't I learn to draw cartoon horses, I'm sure that's a skill that will come in handy never."

Anyway, here was my day's labor if anyone is interested. Apologies for poor image quality.

I saved Dash and Vinyl for last in order to level up my drawfag skills before I got to them.

@Zarathh: Haha, Dash suddenly came down with a severe case of diabeetus, and her expression in the last panel cracks me up.

@Fifths: Yes, I would much like to see something like that happen as well.

You mean like a Team Rocket-centered episode, or every episode of Road Runner ever or something?

Aaron Hong wrote:

I always imagined her returning as more of a Sideshow Bob character (from the Simpsons).
She would have some devious plan to exact her revenge and would eventually be foiled, likely by the very ones she was trying to go after and usually caused by her own stupidity/pride.

@Exudes
I actually see them exactly the other way around.
I find Gilda far more sympathetic than Trixie, but I also realize that I'm in the minority opinion on that point so whatever.
I like both of them.
I would be perfectly happy with either one… or both! Or even neither, come to think of it!
Why reuse old characters when they could create all new interesting characters?
Bit of 'Devil's Advocate' there, but it's another option.
Chances are pretty high we'll see at least one of them return, but who knows?
Most of my predictions about season 2 were wrong, too! *coughscootalooepisodecough

@Tristis, below
Very nice song and I see what you mean about it describing her well, but the style makes it feel more like something an awestruck fan would write about her rather than something she would listen to or sing herself.
This song is just so fast, simple, and one-dimensionally superficial that I can't help thinking she would love it (I mean all that in the best way possible):

It's just so silly, but I can't stop watching it.

@Rainbow Dash
I think the song Cerulean Blue by Replacer describes RD perfectly.

She is awesome to the point of being able to create multiple types of rainbow explosions by the mere act of going physics-shatteringly fast. However, she has multiple personality flaws including large amounts of narcissism and bouts of laziness that are holding her back.

@Gilda
I am extremely biased in my opinion of her return, because I think she is an A-rank cutie.

Also, I want her to return so there can be more griffon related content in general.

Ignoring my bird bias, I believe an aspect of her return that has the potential of being very interesting would be her interaction with Fluttershy. A very large portion of Gilda-Hate was generated by Gilda's act of making Fluttershy cry. To a lot of people in this fandom Flutteshy is sacred cow, and harming her in any way makes one a complete monster in their eyes. However, the Season 1 Fluttershy everybody was defending is a lot different than the post-season 2 Fluttershy of today. She is now less of a doormat, and quite a bit of conflict might arise if she ever comes face to face with Gilda again.

Fluttershy is in a unique position of power and control due to her stare ability. The possibility of her using this power, or other methods, to seek vengeance are slim, but if revenge does happen the amount of schadenfreude that could occur would be astronomical. This idea was already explored by JohnJoseco to great effect.

@Teh Brawler
Sim Gretina is such a great musician. He puts out so much quality MLP content it borders on the ridiculous. I also love him forever for using a ponified Genki Sudo GIF as the video for his Art of the Dress remix.

Alright, I was gone since noon yesterday to visit my dad with my brother, so yeah. I forgot to tell y'all, and I'm too lazy to go through the hordes of TL;DRs since my departure. I won't ask you guys to fill me in, I'll just hop in recently.

@Trixie or Gilda:

Personally, I thought that Gilda's exit evoked more emotion from me, if anything. She also has a reason for coming back: She was Dash's childhood friend. Trixie's only reason is revenge, which Gilda has, too. Trixie just seemed to not learn her lesson, whereas Gilda may have, given her lashing out and all that.

I just think it would make for a deeper episode if Gilda returned. Trixie could only really be played for kicks if she was to return as a villain, not for a good lesson or a deep plot, and I don't think the show would do that several times.

Now,

PONY FOR THE PONY GOD!

@tristis
Hey, no pony is perfect. All the ponies have their flaws in the show and I personally prefer rainbow dashes narcissism over fluttershys shyness and lack of self confidence. She really bothers me sometimes, I don't get how somepony can be that scared of everything.

Gonna come out here and say this. I have time right now:

-The discussions right now are either repetitive or I cannot contribute anything worthwhile.

-I'm constantly moving from place to place right now, and even when I get to a destination where I won't move from for quite a while, I'm still in and out the whole time. So I can't keep up.

-I have to finish "A Song of Ice and Fire" (Game of Thrones series).

-I feel as if I come off as a whiny bitch who somewhat is annoying as of late.

-I just need time away. Personal stuff going on right now.

I might pop back in once or twice, but other than that, I can't keep up.
So wall posts if anything you see I'll like or just idle chat, PM's if you need something or want to chat, but that's it. I'm steering clear of the image gallery and the forums. I'll reply to wall posts and PM's when I can.
Don't be afraid to post things that I might like on my wall. It'd help and is greatly appreciated.
Again, not you guys… I just need time. Unfortunately, in the coming weeks, I won't have much of it, and when I do, I'll have to divert my time elsewhere.

Whaaat? Dude where do you get that crazy idea from? You are not a whiny bitch, don't put yourself down like that. None of your recent posts were even whines. Who finds you annoying?

Everything else you said is fair enough, if you want to take a break from posting that's okay. Nobody should feel obligations to post.

Madness.

I actually used to like Rainbow Dash more than I do now, though Fluttershy was always my favorite. I've always had a few issues with RD, but my annoyance didn't really begin until I realized that not only is she completely self-obsessed, but also many people actually seem to like that about her. It's almost like celebrity worship. Now, I can understand admiring confidence, it's a healthy attribute. However, arrogance, rudeness, self-centeredness, and an ego that cannot admit defeat are way less appealing. Even when she's doing good things like saving others from danger, a large part of her motivation seems to be her own fame. If you ask me, that's an excellent explanation of why she hasn't been accepted into the Wonderbolts. She loves to showboat and be the center of attention, and lacks much discipline. The Wonderbolts seem to be not only performers, but also public servants of a sort. Organizations such as theirs would require ponies who had far more self-control (not to mention empathy) than she has often shown.

Also, I've sometimes seen these complaints about Fluttershy, and I must say they sound a little mean-spirited. A lack of confidence is not a good reason to put someone down; in fact, it often makes things even worse. Such things are not easy to overcome, especially when you weren't blessed with the same natural talents some others have. Now, it's true that once or twice she's allowed that attribute to affect her judgement, but it's still understandable.

We have here a conflict of personality types; Dash is choleric, a dominant, strong-willed individual, and Fluttershy is phlegmatic, a submissive, laid-back, reserved pony. Neither style is more right or wrong than the other, but both have their weaknesses when pushed to extremes.

Dan up there just kind of outlined why Dash is my least favorite of the Mane Six, and why I really dislike Trixie. I can't stand arrogance and large egos unless you're joking about it, which is usually what I see in real life from people I know. People handwave it by saying Dash is only being as braggy as her talents warrant, which isn't really the case. Sure, she goes fast, but she's not any more exceptional than her friends, as evidenced by the Mysterious Mare-Do-Well. If anything, Applejack and Twilight are more exceptional, AJ having less to work with and Twilight being a freaking wizard that can do crazy shit.

Which brings me to Trixie. People find her endearing or something because of the arrogant, boasting deal, when she has done nothing to prove she deserves to, really. Dash at least does something to back it up, and isn't a dick about it.

Now, I don't want to rant, especially after midnight.

@Popper:

Well, you are annoying. I mean, god, what's to love about an endearing catholic with some moral fiber than tries to give his opinions and crack Star Wars jokes, while siding with the rebellion and fangasming over Chrysalis.

Come on, man, you should've noticed how much we despise you a long time ago. Are you dense or something?

(God, I hope his sarcasm-dodging skill isn't high.)

@Tristis Journeyer

Huh, now I'm picturing the Gilda redemption episode.

Imagine she's down on her luck (maybe on the run from a gang of dangerous friends she had a falling out with) and comes back to Ponyville to try to make up to RD. Nobody really trusts her or forgives her for what happened last time, which obviously starts to wear on her. Then it comes to a head when she tries to apologize to Fluttershy who (in Flutterb**ch fashion) ends up making her cry.

Then maybe the ex-friends show up to get some payback and the mane 6 have to try to fight them off. Yadda yadda yadda, the mane 6 forgive Gilda, she returns to Cloudsdale, we learn a lesson about giving people second chances, the end.

Yeh that's pretty solid, I could totally see that in season 3. I'm sure the vast majority of Gilda-haters would disappear overnight from the crying scene alone.

i don't know why the guy who made this wanted to post this on gamefaq and SPUF they both have a hate for mlp and bronies i don't if it sucks because i have not listened too it yet

So I was thinking. And while I was thinking I had a thought. And within this thought was an idea. And this idea was this.

It is of course VERY obvious why Celestia and Luna are named what they are, right? I mean luna is straight up Latin for moon and Celestia is straight up Latin for "the heavens". But if you think about it, Celestia was not originally in control over "the heavens." That didn't happen until Luna was banished, and by that time they were well grown up. So why on earth would Celestia's name reflect a control over all of the heavens if she only controlled the sun? A name like Solaria or something would make more sense. It only makes sense to think that Celestia was not always her name. It has become my head canon that after she banished Luna she changed her name to signify a new era under a monarchy instead of a diarchy and reflect her new role in governing the heavens. It sounds a bit strange I know, but if it was her name from the beginning, I think that would've been pretty freaking prophetic (though I guess stuff like that isn't a stretch sometimes considering all of the ponies with names that match their special talents). But still, we're talking about a prediction of something crazy huge and if I were Luna I would've noticed it.

But then you're probably wondering why Celestia hasn't changed her name back now that Luna's back. I think it's probably a reminder to Luna to stay in line or else, and it would likely be more confusing to subjects since her kingdom has likely grown exponentially in 1000 years.

If you'll notice, the two sisters at the beginning of S1E1 were never named. I don't think this idea is too much of a stretch. Tell me if I'm crazy.

@dan
Fluttershy isn't real, so putting her down won't make it any worse. Anyways, it's just an opinion about a fictional character. I find fluttershy to be quite boring at times and I, like the characters in the show, get frustrated with her. I don't really mind rainbow dashes arrogance much. She doesn't put others down for not being as fast as her or anything too bad. She just likes attention, no big deal really. It's easier for me to like traits similar to my own which is why I like all of the characters almost equally except for fluttershy. I can find traits that they have that I share with them.

@Gigatoast
That's pretty much exactly how I had always seen a Gilda return working.
There are lots of different potential motivations, but for some reason, she comes back looking to make amends for what she did on her first trip, and none of the ponies will even talk to her.
Eventually, it builds to some kind of climax (I can't say I really see her outright crying, but maybe something along those lines) until they see how truly repentant she is and learn to forgive.
It would definitely grant her a bit more obvious depth and make for great lesson, too.
And, because she actually lost a friend that she had had previously, her desire for redemption makes much more sense than Trixie's.

@Thor
That's actually a very clever little song!
A Smile, Smile, Smile cover all about the hardships of being a TF2 engineer.
Very well done!

@StarGazer

Oh, sorry.
Nah, that's not too crazy, but I really doubt that that was intentional.
At best, I'd say that giving Celestia a more general name may have helped to reenforce the idea that Luna was 'less important,' but I don't think it was direct foreshadowing or anything.
We don't know how these alicorns age.
Maybe Luna was born a couple hundred years after Celestia, so for a significant amount of time, Celestia's all-encompassing name was completely legitimate.
Lots of possible theories.

My primary thought?
'Celestia' just sounds better than 'Solaria' or whatever so they picked it based on sound alone.

@Dan & Dac
Maybe I'm just weird, but Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy are my two favorites in the main six, despite being polar opposites of one another.

I like Dash's brash confidence because it's been shown to be a bit deeper than it might first appear.
Her near-total break down in Sonic Rainboom showed that a good chunk of it really is just talk.
I like to think of her as one who simply lacks significant forethought.
Her actions rarely involve actual malice (beyond split-second anger and a couple light pranks and ribbing) so I've never really taken her arrogance all too seriously.

Fluttershy is the total opposite and to that end, I consider her main problem to be over-thinking.
She really only has a couple directly named phobias (dragons and heights).
The rest of her behavior can be attributed to a severe deference to others as a way to avoid conflict.
Maybe I'm just making excuses for her because I share quite a few of her traits, but her reluctance to share her opinions and general lack of assertiveness may be because of an innate wish to avoid conflict.
She is continually thinking of the consequences of her actions and has come to the conclusion that asserting yourself can frequently put you in conflict with others.
Though this conflict is normal and expected in any society, her desire to put others before herself (element of kindness there) leads her to back down, avoiding anything that could potentially anger someone else.
(Lots of 'If that's okay with you's, etc. drive this point home.)

Again, they both have their issues, but I genuinely like them both because of them.
Their opposing personalities are also very ripe for fun, as well, so I love seeing them interact.

Last edited Jul 11, 2012 at 10:09AM EDT

@Dan and Solaire

You two basically listed why I really dislike Rainbow Dash and Trixie. Both are simply arrogant bitch type characters with egos way too big. They brag about themselves constantly and place themselves far above everyone else. And as I pointed out before, I always really disliked those characters in shows. Dac said that it's kinda ironic I like Angel because of that. But remember that Angel still lacks the bragging self-centered ego.

Now this would be a bit more acceptable if it wasn't for all the excuses. Apparently people like the whole bragging self-centered personality. I honestly don't get it. More with Trixie than with Dash. Of all the characters, both main cast and others, Trixie is without doubt the most overrated character of them all. Rainbow Dash has shown that she learns from her mistakes during episodes, Trixie never has (given, she only made one appearance). But hell, as I'm at it, I might as well point out all the reasons why I dislike Trixie.

  • She's a bitch. Constantly boasts about her talents. Huge ego. As said before, I dislike that type of character.
  • A popular excuse people use with Trixie is that she just wanted to be accepted. As soon as you can point me out where in the episode she wants to be accepted, I will go with you on this. But so far, no canon evidence has shown this yet. Saying she just wants to be accepted is a really bad excuse.
  • Unfair fame. No really, a lot of her popularity is just unfair. I blame EqD for that. If Seth didn't feel the constant need to show off his raging boner towards Trixie almost everytime he makes a post on EqD, I doubt she would get the popularity she has now. Thank god it has lowered a bit.
  • Forcing of the character. Yes, Trixie is, without doubt, EqD's arrow to the knee joke. She was mentioned so many times on the site, it simply kills the character because she gets pushed in your face so often.
(Calpain, if you happen to read the thread again, feel free to make Seth aware of this)

And don't mistake me here, I never banished Trixie. When I see a good Trixie image, I don't mind sharing it with Drpepperfan, knowing he likes Trixie. But she really doesn't deserve all the fame she has. If she makes a return in season 3, I don't want to know what'll happen. But Seth sure as hell won't let it go by in silence and will most likely point out the lack of Trixie through all the other episodes of the season after that.

Another character I find overrated is Fluttershy. Sure, she's cute and everything I guess. But the entire "moe" factor has always been overrated. Both in anime, and in MLP. Plus her personality is just boring. The only episodes that save her are the ones where she gets a different personality. Makes the character fresh and not so boring constantly. Those episodes are the reason I'm still fairly ok with Fluttershy.

I think you guys are expecting a bit too much about it. Gilda didn't show any signs during the episode that indicate she might seek forgiveness in the future. She was a bully and a bitch, end of story.

Honestly, if Gilda makes a return in season 3 there are two scenarios I see being the most likely:

  1. She wants to get back on Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash dumped her for some "Ponyville Ponies". Gilda won't accept this, resulting in Gilda trying to put Rainbow Dash in a bad spotlight through lists.
  2. She does seek forgiveness, but only from Rainbow Dash, and in the form of a bad excuse. Trying to get Rainbow Dash to leave Ponyville while threatening all the other ponies to not get in her way.

But Gilda becoming friends with all the ponies, most unlikely. Gilda's personality is simply not the type that seeks forgiveness from others. Even when she left Ponyville, she made sure to keep her pride intact.

@Randomman:
About the whole Trixie thing, you can't deny that she has PERSONALITY, something that Fluttershy lacks, in your words "The only episodes that save her are the ones where she gets a different personality." that means that her default personality is boring and non existent, when a character is only interesting when it is REVERSED that means that if unreserved it's uninteresting.

Back to Trixe, you can't deny that she was entertaining, her constant bragging and bitchiness is part of the act, it's not easy being a magician when 1/3 of the population can do magic as an everyday action, plus she's a show-person who got heckled, ever seen some retorts the comedians give to hecklers? they make Trixie seem like Fluttershy (in kindness not boring-ness). Ifd you payed attention you'd see that She only humiliated RBD, AJ and Rarity Both RBD and AJ have a very strong personality and can take it (so does Rarity but she just a fan of creating false drama and overreacting) but if she would have done that to Fluttershy (Timid), or Pinkie Pie (basically, brain of a child) that would have been just mean, but the rules are simple you see:
Got heckled? Shoot them down.

As for the lying thing: do you know that David Copperfield claims he found The Fountain of Youth? Yeah…

It's all part of the job you see, even if overdone, getting banished and losing all your personal possessions does not seem like a fair Karma to me.

Also you mentioned EqD/Seth as many times as you mentioned Trixie in that rant, it did sort of becomes his avatar (kinda like Molestia and JJ or Surprise and Willdrawforfood), yes he is overdoing it, no doubt about that, but I do doubt that he was the sole reason of her fame. Many people latched on to her entertaining appearance before Seth blew this WAY out of proportion.

Basically, I don't have to repeat myself about why I don't like Rainbow Dash, as all the points were brought up, much, much better then I could bring up.

Guess Fluttershy's opposite end of the spectrum is why I like her, that and the fact she likes animals, even the ones that are rather bitchy to her *cough*Angel*cough*.

@Stargazer:

Well, if her name was Solaria…

That would be kinda awkward if we met…

I think it's just a case of Celestia sounding better and fitting the role close enough. Kids don't know Latin, and don't care, so it's not a big deal. I especially doubt it's a prophecy, to be honest.

@RandomMan:

I am ecstatic because other people are speaking up about hating Trixie.

Actually, I don't hate her, I just think she doesn't deserve the fame, as she is an immensely flat character. Same with Chrysalis and other characters. I don't hate or dislike people for liking them, I just don't personally see the appeal. I guess I'm guilty of it, too, because I think Discord is fucking hilarious. Though, in my opinion, he was deeper than most of the other antagonists.

@X-Singular:

Deciding who has more personality between Trixie and Fluttershy is an opinion, really. I think that Fluttershy has a wealth more than Trixie, but you would disagree, apparently. We can argue about it all day, but it won't really matter. Trying to change somebody's favorite pony is like trying to punch a brick wall to death: you look like a jackass, and you are one.

And, as a note, I am note saying Trixie sucks and has no personality. Compared to many cartoons, she's a solid antagonist. I just don't think that with all the well-developed ponies in the show, Trixie deserves to be so widely loved.

@Gilda episode:

Gigatoast nailed what the optimist in me wants from the episode, RandomMan nailed what the cynic wanted, and I'll nail what I expect:

If she does return, she'll likely try to begrudgingly apologize first. Her behavior warrants a reaction similar to being ignored by the Mane Six, and she tries to apologize again, not being sincere once more. Eventually, she finds Fluttershy, stops her from running off, and tries to sincerely apologize. Fluttershy accepts, and forgives Gilda, who goes around apologizing to everypony.

She then flies off to fight a meteor plummeting down to Equestria.

Why?

Because fuck you, that's why.

I don't really care that much for Fluttershy because, as it's been stated, she's an extremely flat character. She's basically perfect, and it bugs the shit out of me.
I don't dislike her, I really don't, but she's my least favorite of the main characters by far.

She’s basically perfect

She has her share of flaws. Paranoia of shadows, poor self-esteem and reclusiveness to name a few

I think her issue is just being unimpressive. Adorableness seems to be her biggest attractive quality but the other characters strengths greatly overshadow this.

I'm surprised at how many people put down RD for being "an egotistical bitch". And here I thought people liked RD the most. Am I the only one who honestly likes all the characters equally and admires both the good and bad qualities their creators gave them?

Those flaws aren't quite as major as ones as egoism, obvious OCD, and others we've seen.

Now was that little quip really necessary?
