I still find it strange that this actually seems to be a common pairing. Is it just JJ or was it more of a case of "I like Derpy… I like Luna… I like lesbians… HEY I HAVE A BRILLIANT IDEA!"?

GIMP is really good and will serve your basic needs very well. Personally, I prefer the UI of Photoshop and would prefer to have that if I could, but it costs money – something I don't exactly have right now. GIMP is still more than enough for what I need.

Also, if I might digress a little, I found something on a site that recently got a KYM page, it asks would you rather be a pony or a doll?
I personally put down pony because I at least get to still be a living being but I'd honestly rather say neither because, well…

Seriously, I really love my humanity, being something else would really be a life-ruiner for me.
Though I would totally bet that everyone here will pick pony without a second thought and at least a few will find it bizarre that I find the idea of being a pony myself so unpleasant.

I tried downloading GIMP the other day cause I needed an EULA for a poem I was writing, but it downloaded a zip file with a bunch of useless files Windows can't run. This was from the official GIMP site so it wasn't like it was a virus or something. Why they can't just have an Install Shield file to download I don't know. It wasn't important anyway as I already use Paint.NET (which is also free and isn't a pain in the ass to install) for my photoshop needs. The simpler to use, the better (remember: half-an-hour to draw a circle in Photoshop).

Imgur is free. a image host and macro meme maker. anyone can do it.

I just use Photobucket (and Flickr for my massive pic dumps that exceed a gig). Not sure if it has a meme maker or not.

I'd say give them another try. You shouldn't have had to download a .zip, It should have been an .exe like I got when I installed it on my new comp a week or two ago. You should be able to get it here for windows, just make sure you get the current 2.8.8 .exe and not md5.

You know all the graphics I drew? Those were all done using GIMP and another free drawing program called Inkscape. Been a proud GIMP user for years.

I highly recommend Inkscape for free pony vectoring and of course GIMP works just as well as photoshop for all your editing needs (once you get used to it). For instance I can use GIMP when I want to add shading/highlighting to the vectors that I make in Inkscape

So once again, you don't need photoshop if you want to get into making gifs and vectors

While I'm more of a one-woman man myself, and do indeed feel like monogamy is for the best for me personally, I'm not going to pass judgment on Lunar or tell him that he's wrong, and I'm sure as fuck not going to unnecessarily call him names. Dial it back, son, that kind of behavior is uncalled for, even if you do disagree with him.

In any case, my personal opinion on polygamy and extra-marital relationships: it depends.

• Polygamy is 100% okay as long as all parties involved are 100% okay with it. This should be a no-brainer, considering all parties involved need to be okay with it to be married in the first place…

• Extra-marital relationships are 100% okay as long as all parties involved are 100% okay with it.

The capacity for someone to get hurt is too great when they're kept in the dark. Every person you're in a relationship with deserves to be aware that you're in multiple relationships, and they need to find it acceptable.

If having a multiple relationships was wrong, that would be the reason why. It's just plain not okay to hurt people with lies, so they need to know.

You make an excellent point. In the end, it really all comes down to consent. If everyone's cool with it, it should be allowed to happen. There's actually a great real-life example in this very fandom: Glasmond, Schpog, and MissCherry. I don't really see anything wrong with polygamy.

As for making MLP images and what software to use, Adobe software is the industry standard software to use when creating digital art. If you're just trying to rough something out without it looking too great, then I usually just use Photoshop for that, since it does the job. Though for people who want to make professional images, like for commission, then the lines have to be 100% straight and it has to look like just it does on the show and this can be done by using Adobe Illustrator. Once you've drawn the outlines, you can then take it over to Photoshop and create a new layer, change the layer to multiply and start colouring it. Learning how to use the software is really easy since there are so many tutorials on Youtube and once you learn one Adobe program, moving on to another one becomes much easier. I personally started with Photoshop, and then from there, I learnt Illustrator and then Adobe Flash and then After Effects, though that worked for me, it depends on the person. I know the software is pricey which is a main issue for people who don't have any money like myself, ways to get around the price can be finding locations that have the software, so if you are at school/college/uni then there might be software there, or.. there are Other means of getting the software

I'd probably avoid watching it till airdate, since no MLP in HD makes me go something.. something.. Though I feel Kewln00b makes a good point about spoilers, and how if the episode is leaked in some way or another, the spoiler rule should still apply until the episode officially airs. I don't know if anyone's keeping track of these spoiler rules, but yeah.. if it hasn't been already, that should be added.. to the KYM bill of rights.

Great episodes! loved the flashback scenes, though I wished they'd had been longer, though maybe in future we'd see more of the sisters past. I'm happy with what they had done with Discord, how he's not good or bad, he's becoming more like Q everyday, it's beautiful. I would have liked a song in the episode, but I know it wouldn't have fitted. The wait for a musical number continues!

Me, my RA, and a couple of friends just watched that movie. At the part where the "zombie redneck torture family" came out and the winner of the bet was revealed, we pause the movie and read the board. We spent about four minutes going "man… I wish unicorns got picked…"

It did took quite some back and forth arguments to be honest. As you are stating here, as a site for meme documentation, we don't really have to offer such services. This led to not all mods agreeing with the idea and finding it a waste of time, one of them being myself.

But user demand was high and constantly rising with shows like Attack on Titan getting popular image galleries, and some mods brought up good arguments on how such a system wouldn't really hurt the site either. The staff was cool with it, so I realized as well it couldn't really hurt to implant it.

I'd love to Pone but for some reason when I go on Derpibooru NOTHING is filtered for some reason, don't know why I used to be able to go onto Derpibooru and I'd have Suggestive, Grimdark, Foalcon (A LOT more foalcon spoiler tags than any sane person needs to see, seriously guys what the fuck is up with the influx of Filly Fooling?) The going theory is that Hasbro uploads their episodes onto Hubworld.com early and someone has been able to find a hole in the site's coding and download the episode directly from Hubworld. It's also how we got those screenshots from the premiere and this episode--someone downloaded it, and instead of uploading onto a site, decided to live up to OP's reputation and only brag about it. It's also most likely how Everfree Network had their review early, as Hasbro never gave them a review copy of the premiere (and has most likely bitchslapped them for it).

If they don't patch the site's coding and keep on uploading the episodes early, expect leaks all season long…

…oh, this was a serious topic about polygamy. I thought we were talking about Twilunestia and the adorkable panic Twilight goes through in picking one or the other (always go with Luna, aka "the one who gets omnicidal when jealous of her sister").

Speaking of princess shipping, when I eventually write my Twiluna clopfic (filled with lots of dream sex between Twilight and her subconcious' rendering of Luna, of course), I intend on using my headcanon that the princesses are really virgins and are horribly awkward and cute when it comes to romance as nopony has ever asked them out because they're Equestria's Immortal God-Empresses and so, are too scared to.

Pretty much, at this rate.

Hint guys: the more apparent it is that people are demanding this feature, the more likely we'll go through with this. So if it's something you really want to see to prevent these leaks ruining your day, don't just sit there and sarcastically snark about how nobody is going to use it. Speak up and say "Yes, I think that's a good idea and would use that".

I've been advocating the Spoiler tag, but not because lots of spoilers get posted here and they rustle up my poor unfortunate jimmies. I don't care about that. I advocated it simply because people asked for it. People who saw the spoilers and kindly said "Can we please have spoiler tags?". That's the key to getting this job done

One suggestion that has been passed is to allow Scrapbookers (anyone with KYM account that uploaded enough images) to be able to flag Spoilers just like how they can already flag NSFW images, allowing the spoiler process to be self policing. Might be crazy enough to work

I'll be tagging any spoilers I see here if RM doesn't catch them, by the way.
