Between the things some Trump supporters have said and the political climate of Europe (a wretched hive of Alt-righters and SJWs), I am worried that there may very well be a second Holocaust in my lifetime. Much more likely in Europe than in the US where I live, but still.

- I honestly feel like the word "satire" is losing its meaning and becoming essentially another synonym for "prank", just like what happened to the phrase "social experiment", with prank seemingly meaning "just being a fucking dick". And there are a number of places where this can apply, in my opinion.

- I don't know if this has been said but, I feel like Sargon of Akkad's petition to suspend social justice is flimsy at best and just a travesty at worst. The petition is built upon anecdotal evidence of professors being radical, the petition is meant for "UNIVERSITIES" to read rather than say, any college/university group/organization, the petition cites Sargon's channel, which has this huge slant towards making the viewer think "Wow SJWs are bad.", and finally it feels like a call for censorship, even seemingly fitting the definition (the courses being the unwanted or questionable ideas being suppressed). Also, it's quite surprising to see over 80k people sign this petition for calling to suppress ideas when this country is built upon freedom of expression.

Plus, freedom of expression is a common arrow in his quiver when shooting down radicals in the first place, which makes this petition nothing short of idiotic!

I think hatespeech such as slurs should not be covered in the first amendment. It does litterally nothing but to personally attack someone for their identity.

I agree, it makes him a hypocrite at best and no worse that the people he's trying to censor at worse.

Both the regressive left and cultural appropriation are real things but the terms are frequently badly misused.

I'd also argue that the regressive right is a thing as well.

"Triggered" is the new "I was only pretending to be retarded".

"[insert stupid statement here]"
"Fuck off, retard"
"HUEHUEHUEHUE UR TRIGGERED, I ONLY SAID IT TO TRIGGUR PEOPLE"

Also, why are some opinions here being buried for being seen as too stupid? That pretty much goes against the purpose of this thread.

It's not that we disagree with the opinion, it's that the person is insulting people who have the popular opinion

Incoming unpopular opinion with MLP season finale spoilers; if you haven't seen it then don't read:

I like the new changeling design. It allows for a lot more character designs than the previous design, which had basically every changeling except for Chrysalis and Thorax look exactly the same.

I don't even understand where the controversy comes from. With previous fandom controversies like Twilicorn and Starlight's heel face turn, it's understandable that some people would get worked up since these marked significant changes to the show and its plot. But this is a design change to a species that has only made a couple of appearances in the show's entire run. If you don't like the new look, you can just ignore the few and far between episodes they appear in.
Shitposting is the new ''lol im random xd'', with this nonsense of posts for the sake of random.

im very interested in some new modern animes
I have very faith in DC extended universe, i liked the movies, even with ther imperfections.
I dont find funny right now this words like ''Weeaboo'' or ''weeb'' (even for self-deprecate).
I like some things of Tumblr (like blogs of artists or some interesting blogs), even with this things of SJWs.
I dont likeHATE-TREND that have some ''popular'' things in INTERNET, although for some loud fans, (like games or fandoms of FNAF, undertale, MLP FIm, anime, frozen, etc.)

-Max Payne 3 was an ok game. But it's nowhere as good as Max Payne 2
-I think all the single-player campaigns of all of the Halo games are kinda average at best. I don't understand the love for them
-The Assassin's Creed series isn't all that good, IMO.
-Sonic has never been better Mario.
-Super Mario Galaxy 1 was better than 2
-The Borderlands series sucks.
-I think Undertale is great but is it one of the best games ever like some people claim? I don't think so. It's definitely one of the best games of the past few years.
-Unreal Tournament 2004 and TF2 are perhaps the best multiplayer FPS games ever made.
-Fallout 4 is ok. But compared to the rest of the Fallout series it's one of the worst in the series.
-Mario Kart DS is the best of the series.

The word edgy and weeaboo is most term misused meme term ever mostly becuase people use the terms when:
Edgy: Something tragic happen in a story or having a unpopular opinion makes you fedora edgelord level:Shadow the Hedgehog.
Weeaboo: anything that comes from Japan these people don't like they call everyone weeaboo when people like the things they don't like.
Also i hate people call every hat fedora when those hat aren't even fedora.

Some others I thought of,

-Edward Snowden should not be punished. I've thought that for years now.
-Johnny Test isn't that bad of a show. It's not great but you can do worse.
-I'm ok with any fetish you have. As long as it's not immoral or illegal in most countries.
-Norton isn't a terrible antivirus.
-DevianArt is an ok website.
-MLP:FIM was in it's prime in seasons one and two.
-Dragonball Z is defiantly overrated.
-I think most internships are illegal.
-In the US, tipping at restaurants is stupid and shouldn't be a thing.
-I genuinely like the songs "Call Me Maybe", "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", and "Dancing Queen."
-My favorite Pokemon game isn't even in the main series. It's Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team.
-Pushing your religion on others is stupid. I'm not opposed to the idea of religion whatever makes you sleep at night have at it. Just don't push it on me or anyone else. Everyone has made up their mind as to what religion or lack there of they choose to follow a long time ago and they won't change no matter how much convincing you give them.
-I think VR is just a fad that will die out.

-I liked the Resident Evil Movies
-The movie Drive is overrated
-I liked the House on Haunted Hill remake
-Scary Movie 3 is funny
-I never liked DBZ
-Call of Duty is not that bad

• I thought Evangelion's ending and final episodes were more dramatic than they needed to be and worked against what the series was before episode 23.

• DeviantArt has TONS of issues, especially with moderation and what is allowed to be uploaded there in terms of content, but it's a good website for uploading and discussing art (you could pull the 'art is subjective' card with user uploads, but I fail to see what is artistic about inflation and foot fetish porn).

• I actually really like Fallout 4.

Same, I believe VR will meet the same fate as motion controls.

I love Shiro Emiya as he appears in Unlimited Blade Works. His entire character arc was so beautiful to me.

If I had to compare his ideals to something from real-life, it would be a form of existentialist christianity. He makes no attempt to rationally justify his ideals and only speaks about why he loves them.

I've replayed epsiode 9 of season 2 over and over again because of how heartwarming it was to see him oppose the nihilism of his world in search of hope.

I wish I had that kind of strength and conviction. There's to much pain in the world

I think genetic engineering and transhumanism should be outlawed or just restricted heavily simply because of how much risk to society having superpowers would cause.
Imagine how hard paternity tests would be, imagine how difficult it would be to identify a body. Imagine how hard it would be to stop potential terrorists and wrong doers who have literal superpowers and superhuman abilities. Imagine how hard making models for people would be once people literally become walking supercomputers. Image the diseases that will spread and the risk that something out of Oryx And Crake could become reality.

Sorry, but genetic engineering and trans-humanism are not going to give people super powers, you have been watching too many movies.

That's not how genetic engineering works. This isn't fucking X-Men.

Yeah, I know Rule 34 exists, but that doesn't mean I have to like how people wish for porn of X so they can wank off to it, detailing their fantasies in their posts, and getting upvotes for it. :|

I actually like riding airplanes. When I first started to hear people complain about flight on planes being some sort of hell I was genuinely surprised. Maybe it's because I've never had to pay for plane tickets, I have a very strong stomach, I am very forgiving about personal space, and my father and grandfather were both pilots, but I just love the feeling of taking off and watching the ground sink away beneath me, and then reading a book while riding over the country at hundreds of miles per hour. Maybe one day I'll have an experience that shows me just why everyone hates being on airplanes, but I haven't had it yet.

Also, because I just can't resist sharing my SJW side, I don't think that child porn on the internet or anywhere else should be legal or without legal consequences for the adults involved, but if one day lolicon and shotacon drawn artwork were banned, I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest. I don't see it as a slippery slope towards censorship of all opposing ideologies, I see it as common sense that you don't jerk off to children . Drawings of ostensibly-teenage characters are a borderline case, where I'm not entirely sure what to think, but one thing I'm sure of is if their age is on the clock, it's time to stop.

- I unironically like The Nutshack
- I liked Vine (this seems to be an unpopular opinion on this site, so I thought I'd share that)
- I'm pretty laissez faire when it comes to entertainment. As long as something appeals to me on a visceral level I don't really care too much about quality, case in point my like for The Nutshack.

SCP Foundation works better as a dark comedy setting than a horror one.

The way the setting works heavily relies on the Foundation staff being entirely composed of enormous idiots. They constantly waste time and resources because they insist on containing everything anomalous they come across, even though most of the entities are either mostly harmless and don't warrant containment, or are too dangerous to keep contained and could be easily destroyed by some of the more powerful objects.

In a serious horror setting, this is nonsensical and frustrating, since it requires supposedly intelligent characters to constantly make stupid decisions in the name of the plot. But in a comedy, this behavior would become forgivable – expected, even – because readers wouldn't take the setting or characters as seriously.

The Undertale fandom's presence has diminished, and I'm actually kind of sad about it. Out of all the fandoms, I liked theorizing about Undertale, and looking at fanart and funny videos of Undertale the most, and to me, no new fandom has taken it's place. Yeah, Undertale fans were "cancerous" at the game's popularity, and it some might say their presence was overbearing, but I'm not one to let that sort of thing bother me.

I seem to be the only person I know that doesn't enjoy Halloween.

Every one of my friends is elated to don their costume this year: some Overwatch character, an angel, another sexy cat, etc. That's all fine, have your fun and enjoy yourself.

But for me the end of October isn't festive fun and spooky banter, instead I conjure up memories of unfortunately timed flus or strict parents confining me home. I think I stopped going out for candy around the time I entered Middle School, so when I was about ten.

I might as well list all my reasons:

  • I can't eat candy because of sensitive and cavity plagued teeth.
  • My immigrant Chinese parents never really understood the holiday so I got some embarrassing costumes when I was like five years old. I've only ever gotten two, one an oversized and itchy lion, and another a power ranger. I don't watch power rangers. I think the last year I went out I didn't have a costume, just a jacket.
  • I frighten easily and can't watch scary movies, horror is a genre I always avoid.
  • I always seem to be sick by the time trick or treating rolls in, or the weather is too cold and already snowing.
  • When I have gone out for candy it was with my older brother, an exceptionally studious individual who doesn't care much for the holiday and instead more on his grades. Thus I have the option of going alone, which isn't my definition of a good evening. And well I've never gone with any friends, and this isn't the year I'm going to start doing so.
  • One year I had to stand vigil at the front door to give people their candy, by hour 2 we had run out and I couldn't bare to give stale granola bars to people anymore.
  • Candy isn't exactly expensive, but we live in a very popular neighborhood for candy hunters so we either have to bulk buy or face the disappointment of many, many, many young and innocent children.
  • I can't be bothered this year to go outside or even greet people at the door, I have numerous college-level tests and projects coming up for applications and college-level classes.

I don't detest people for going out and having a candy-filled night. People put effort into their costumes and are legitimately excited every year for the end of October. But for me it's always been a nuisance and I'm always bitter and jealous that I'm never part of the fun. I ruined it for myself, but I still dislike the holiday nonetheless.

You guys think you have it bad?
I… I played MGS1 and didn't like it.
The worst part is I want to like it so bad, but I just can't get into it for some reason.
I have yet to play MGS3 and 4 though, I hope I can enjoy those if I ever play them, 3 looks amazing in particular.

@Xin I also don't exactly like Halloween either.

I mean when I was younger I liked going out for treats and stuff, but nowadays due to how my parents live in a legitimate ghetto I constantly have to go visit them around this time of year and help my dad clean up the house after the inevitable vandalism that will take place.

I mean throwing eggs and soaping windows is sort of expected to happen on Halloween, but not throwing shit (as in REAL shit), breaking windows, uprooting plants, stealing decorations and lights, or taking an ax and nearly cutting down one of the trees in the yard. The last one was only stopped because my dad started yelling at the kids in the yards and got his own ax out.

It's a fucking pain in the ass every year, especially since I can't do anything with my friends because I constantly have to go back to my parent's house.

Hey… I feel you there, too. I beat MGS1 and MGS2 when I was younger, and barely remember them at all. They weren't something of great interest to me, and back then I only played game to beat them, instead of enjoying them…

Since I'm already here, I don't like SiIvagunner's whole shtick and feel absolutely nothing over the fact that it's over.

I know I already posted here but whatever:

• Pineapple IS a good pizza topping.

• Saints Row 3 was an amazing game but Saints Row 4 and Gat out of Hell were terrible.

• Hellboy is my all-time favourite comic and you can't convince me otherwise.

• I honestly do not care at all for Filthy Frank. Some of his content is great, but he's not somebody I'd subscribe to right now, and I refuse to go anywhere near the comment section on his videos purely because of how obnoxious his fans are. I should know, some dude at my school is obsessed with him and keeps asking everyone if they 'have seen Chef' like ten times a day.

• I don't want Vine to be shut down. I'm not gonna deny that there's a lot of low-quality content to come out of it, but there's genuinely amazing stuff on it.

• I like Pokemon, but seeing all the NSFW in the image gallery here on KYM makes me feel a bit uncomfortable considering how Pokemon is, at its core, a kid's game. I don't check it out very often as a result.

• I like Lana Del Rey a lot actually. The album she released last year in particular was really good.

• I fucking LOVE Borderlands for the art style, graphics and story, but I absolutely hated how every single enemy was a bullet sponge and how 'weightless' the game felt in terms of gameplay, if that makes sense.

- Most indie games are horrible

- I love Vinesauce but their "popular memes" are not funny

- Neither is Silvagunner, that got old really fast

- Anti-SJWs are just as bad as SJWs

- Don't know how to draw well? Just add over exaggerated breasts on it and people will fall for it!

- Most new memes are worthless and are forgotten in less than a month

- me_irl is one of the worst subs on reddit

I don't think 2016 is the worst. While it does have many bad stuff happened, many good stuff happened in that year as well.

On the other hand, I do think 2013 is the worst. Which mostly have to do with my life, the only good thing happened is Lee Guo Huang moved to another school or something.

My unpopular opinion:

- I don't think the lot of these are unpopular opinions. People often don't like extremists or the hateful, there's always different opinions on media and let's face it, a good percent of you are introverts so it's not as if we're expecting anyone to be completely in line with social mores.

I think everyone would be more weirded out if someone who was in line with every popular opinion and who was completely normal showed up. Someone that perfectly average would be the most frightening.

Over this past year SiIvaGunner has done so many "the channel's ending guys, this time I mean it" announcements that now when the channel really ends I don't know if I'll really give a crap. They've hit us with so many fake outs that now when it does end I'll just be like "okay whatever."

I believe people should be less tolerant towards fascists and nazis, especially liberals and those who believe in free speech & expression. Don't defend the ones who'd remove you from society, the same moment they would gain or take power.

Hah, how the heck is this an unpopular opinion? Where is this wonderland where fascists and nazis are tolerated?

Perhaps I'm cherrypicking, but it's just how I see it. Maybe it's not an unpopular opinion.

Fascists and nazis are usually tolerated, in the way, that people accept that they have a right to free speech and expression. There is nothing wrong with that, but I believe there's something wrong when some people call anti-fascists for "the real fascists", because the anti-fascists managed to get an upper hand during a peaceful protest that escalated into a violent protest (which is, to be honest, what a lot of protests do end up as). The fascists would most likely do the same thing if they were the majority, or had the upper hand. This goes both ways, like someone defending anti-fascists purely because they're the ones being beaten up by fascists.

It's mildly annoying when someone defends the underdog, just because the underdog happens to be the underdog, not because of what the underdog wants or what their motivations or goals are.
