I will admit that those were just my initial thoughts. Although, seeing that the main antagonist is seemingly the main driving intelligence behind the Grimm (until we get information to the contrary), it's hard to imagine there being an even greater antagonist coming into play. Unless they plan on having the cast fight gods.
Not that I wish to imply that any antagonists that follows Salem can't be less powerful than her- to use another example from Avatar, the Red Lotus and Kuvira are arguably much less powerful than Vaatu, but still managed to pose a significant threat.
They could just be a different breed of threat. For example, Atlas could end up going batshit insane, or if they wanted to be unoriginal I'm sure they could make up something about a Grimm King.
A second Great War could very well be in the cards. Though from the way things are going, that could kick off before the cast has a chance to confront Salem.
Or a faunus uprising. It would be a good way to put all of that "tensions with faunus are sr an all-time high.

A Faunus uprising and a second great war may not be so disconnected. The start of one may lead into the other.
Volume 5 premieres in 40 days. At least for people who have First.
Also, something unexpected: Blake's character short was released today. It's on the Rooster Teeth website.
And it contains best girl giving her backstory.
And junior detectives is canon now!
The premiere of Vol. 5 is now less than 30 days away. Just a quick post to ensure the thread doesn't die before then.
Let's hope they will succeed where Rick and Morty failed.
Where did they fail?
I’m curious as to what event could be so earth shattering that it requires two extra episodes to cover it in full.

Rick and Morty wanted two more episodes in this season, so instead of 10, 12, but they couldn't make it. The same is now with RWBY, 14 instead of 12. Since RWBY volumes are usually 12 episodes.
I'm confused. According to a post on the RT website, the Vol 5. trailer premieres on the 9th. But, if you go to the page for RWBY, it says the trailer comes out on the 14th. So which is it?
For anyone unwilling or unable to wait the final few hours for the Vol. 5 trailer… well, if anyone asks, you didn’t get it from me
You know, I was doing some thinking, and I think part of the reason Vol. 4 felt so sluggish was because nearly every other week a World of Remnant episode was being inserted in between the "real" episodes. I hope that doesn’t happen with this season.
So, am I correct in assuming that the weeklong ban regarding discussions of new episodes is still in effect?

Yes. Since I don't know whether one week before public was only for chibi or carries over to normal episodes too, would be disappoint but not unexpected if so.
Also PSA then: Volume 5 Chapter 1 is out now, for FIRST members only for now, tomorrow will answer the afformentioned question, which is if we have to wait 1 week before being released to the public, or not.

So far it seems that it'll take 3 or 4 days to the episodes to come out for non-FIRST users and one week for YouTube

I’m pretty sure that starting with Chibi and Vol. 4, The wait was bumped up to one week for all non-First users, regardless of whether it’s on YouTube for the RT website. I don’t imagine that setup will be changing.
Also, our mysterious uninvited guest is really going to have his work cut out for him for the next few weeks and months.
Say what?
Oh btw just a reminder, unlike with comment downvotes, you can report our friendly downvoter to the mods since according to them that's actually bad, but don't take my words granted, they are assholes regardless and might not do anything.

You don't need to know who is it, just report to the mods, also they react only to forum downvoters not comment downvoters.
Huh. ShinigamiPeter was right. If you don’t have First, but do you have an account on RT’s website, then you can watch the first episode of Vol. 5 right now.
Right. It’s been a week. So now it’s time to say what I’ve been wanting to say.
Right off the bat let me just say that I’m very happy with what I saw with this episode. If they keep this up, RT will more than make up for Vol. 4’s shortcomings. Seriously, more happened in just the first episode than in the first five episodes of Vol. 4 combined.
I’m kind of surprised Yang seems to be searching for her mother. The more playful tone of how she said, “you’re in so much trouble” lead me to think that she chose to go after Ruby rather than Raven.
Also, is anyone else concerned about the fact Lionheart, and by extension, Watts and the rest of Salem’s Legion of doom now has a direct line to finding the Spring Maiden? And speaking of the Spring Maiden, I really hope she doesn’t decide to do something stupid. Like side with Cinder.

Here's my idea, Spring Maiden refuses to choose any side, gets killed. As for Yang… eh… I don't know cause at the end of vol.4 she turned toward Mistral and not the one place got marked as Danger Bandits! So really don't know, I mean I expected the twist she goes for Raven and gives 0 crap about Ruby but expected it at the moment she was at the crossroad in Vol.4
Also, I’m somewhat concerned about Lionheart. I know I keep predicting character gets that don’t actually happen, but I really don’t think he’s going to make it to the end of the volume. Either he’ll be inspired RNJR and Qrow to stand up to Watts, fail, and get himself killed, or he’ll wait until they retrieve the Spring Maiden and while they’re vulnerable, betray them to Salem to save himself. Of course, he’ll get killed anyway because now that the Legion of Doom has what they want from him, he’s no longer useful.
Oh Adam, you’re going to be one of those characters from nobody likes and yet inexplicably never succeed in getting himself killed off, aren’t you?

I actually find him more interesting, like what truly his motives are? Does he have any actual real super tragic backstory? Or was he born evil?

He might not have started off as evil, but who ever trained him and gave him that OP sword of his likely set him up for this result. Still, Hazel does seem to be right. Adam is way too short sighted. If anything, he has single handedly shoved back Human and Faunus relastionship levels generations worth at best. At worst, set up a race war that will lead to no good human/faunus relations for ages to come and a return to slavery.
In the end, I don't care what ever his back story is. I hate Adam for he is unredeemable. I might yield some sympathy for Cinder and Salem, but not him.

I'm not interested in Adam for his redeeming quality, I want to see him die just as much as everyone, he's interesting to me like psychologists are interested in serial killers, I want to get into his mind and understand him. Dissect him from bit to bit, I do not want him to end up on good side, I want him to perish. But not without understanding his motives.

He’s just some punk who thinks just because the world hurt him, he has the right to hurt it back. Nothing complicated about it

He kinda reminds me of Stalin to be honest …why do i make this comparison ?
a few years ago in history class we had the theme of the Russian revolution and the rise of the soviet union. When Lenin died he had actually written a last wish.In the letter at the part of who should be his successor he specifically wrote that "it should not be Stalin …he cooks the soup too hot ( meaning he is too extreme). " so how did Stalin rise to power ? He first made a name of himself gaining fame by the populace and by giving a speech at Lenin's funeral and even organised it…also he hid the letter. Afterwards when he got into power he Immediately took care of the competition and send them into gulag's or he just had them killed.Who were the opposition ? the Left Opposition , organisation that was created by Stalin to basically take over Russia back when he was alive. Now who else has not just killed a White fang leader for his own gain , but is incredibly liked within the organisation, is considered too extreme by the original leaders .
(Now i know Stalin didn't kill Lenin but what i meant was how Adam and Stalin are willing to kill or imprison old allies for their own gain.)
if i said something wrong in the history part, then sorry i haven't brushed up on my own history…this is just what i remember from the class.
Happy birthday, Ruby.
Assuming Halloween is actually your birthday and it wasn’t just a one off gag.

Yeah Miles confirmed it on twitter it was indeed her birthday.
You know, a strange thought occurred to me earlier today: Would Remnant have stuff like horror movies? You know, because of the whole “Grimm being drawn to negative emotions” thing?
Hmm… I like to think yes. I mean sure the movie makes you scared but that's temporal.
So, the writers have finally given us more information about Ozpin. But, in typical fashion, what information we have been given serves only to raise more questions than it answers. For instance:
1. What exactly did Salem do the first time around that was so heinous that the gods would curse him for failing to stop it?
2. If what Salem did was so serious, why didn’t the gods go after her directly? Unless this is one of those “God created a stone so heavy He can’t lift it” thing, or were dealing with a completely different pantheon of gods altogether, since it was said that the two brothers left the world after creating humanity and giving them the four relics.
….So is it just me or does anyone else wonder if Remnant has (or rather had) their own version of 4chan.
It’s been a week, so you all know what that means.
Ruby has finally addressed the smoldering pile of ash in the room. So I think it’s a safe bet to say that both Pyrrha nor Penny are gone for good. And, while I predicted it a while ago, I think we’re finally approaching Ghira and Kali’s death flags.
No Weiss or Yang this week, but in regards to whatever information Raven will be passing on, I hope it’s not going to be one of those situations where the characters learn something important, but the audience doesn’t, making them all hostile and standoffish while simultaneously refusing to explain themselves.
If the White Fang succeed in their attack on Mistral (and with the way things are stacked against the heroes, I have every confidence that it will), I wouldn’t be surprised if the remaining Kingdoms (or at least Atlas) just straight up declared war on all faunus-kind, with no regard for their connection to the White Fang. Because while we and the central cast might know who is really pulling the strings, it’s probably safe to assume the rest of the world doesn’t. As far as they’re concerned, the White Fang is solely responsible for everything that’s happened.
All right, time for my hot take on episode 6. Raven has to be one of the dumbest character I have seen in this show yet. Over the course of Raven and Yang's conversation, we have learned that Raven learned about Ozpin and Salem's war, But she chose to NOT try to join in with Ozpin and just return to being a bandit that loosely helps Salem's bit to ruin humanity. 2, Ozpin seemed rather lenient with the Crow and Raven. Once outed to be bandit agents, Ozpin instead of having them arrested, or killed off, turned them into agents to use on his side. should't Raven be GRATEFUL he spared them instead killing them?
Worse yet, is why the spring maiden is still there? I just guess she's a not a worthy spring maiden. She might wind up either dead or having to flee to Qrow's side. I've had it with Raven, she should have known better. I just guess she lacks any sort of empathy.
Something slightly unexpected: In order to encourage people to buy all their playsets and toys, RT has released a bonus episode of RWBY Chibi. See here.
