Considering that he didn't come out any worse for wear after being used for batting practice by Dr. Oobleck, while on fire no less, it's safe to say he has an Aura at the very least.
Though that reminds me of something: according to World of Remnant, while Grimm get into fights for territory with normal animals, they don't go out of their way to kill them like they do with humans and Faunus, despair that normal animals (presumably) have souls. I wonder what's up with that.

Methinks that the legend that Qrow spoke about might be missing a few things. Specifically, why the Grimm (who have already been created at that point) seem to hate human emotion.

Don't think we don't know where you got that new profile picture.

Whaaat? Are you accusing me of something? I'm totally not usning a lewd picture I commissioned in order to spread the love of the Schnee's.

Speaking of, how do you guys think Whitley will go? Full "Bwahaha!" evil, "Kind of a dick" in the way Cardin was or "Eventual sweet cinnamon roll" like Weiss?

I'm hoping for the last one. We need more male tsundere's.

Good news, everyone! The first episode of RWBY Chibi is now officially available to the public!

Yep so now we can see it again! But now legally!

I've been doing a bit of thinking, and I have to admit, I don't think Cinder will be killed by the protagonists (though Salem could be a different story). Instead, I imagine she'll somehow have her powers stripped away from her. Because for someone like Cinder, for whom power is everything, leaving her alive but completely powerless would be the cruelest form of mercy that could be inflicted on her.

Sounds like an amazing way to finish off Cinder. Left all alone powerless, maybe Salem herself takes the powers from Cinder after using her to collect all the maiden powers, leaving her, betrayed, broken and powerless.

Michael and Lindsay Jones welcome their daughter, Iris into the world today. Congrats!

Iris…. Why…. Why that name?

Oh well congratulations on the baby! She might grow big and strong like Yang! Or cute like Ruby…

What's wrong with that name?

It's just not my favorite name. I always found it weird name and never could imagine it as a good given name.

It's a more common name than you think.

Congratulations!
Now get back to work.

…although, now that I think about it, could Lindsay's pregnancy be part of the reason why Ruby had a lesser role in the last season?

Anyone else have a minor character that they really want to see more of?

Take a guess at who mine is.

Oh I know! That brunette student girl from Haven academy who was seen in "Brawl in the family"!

So, RTX will be this weekend. We'll likely be getting something for the upcoming season; the question is what that something is going to be.

Also, this popped up a little while ago in the RWBY gallery. Apparently, it's from something called AX. Can anyone verify it's legitimacy?

So we gonna start with Weiss? I heard she will have a trailer of her own like Ruby did before V4. Maybe this volume will mostly concentrate on her? I hope we get more story progress though… stretching out the view time just for the sake of having fillers and unnecessary scenes so they can create more episodes than it should be so they can milk RWBY more is kind of angering.

However if we go by volume mostly concentrating on 1 char at the time but showing the rest too…. then Yang's probably going to be about tracking down her mother…

I'm not so sure the focus will be just on Weiss. We had Ruby's trailer before Vol. 4, but to be blunt, Vol. 4barely featured her at all. It seemed like Weiss, Blake and Ren were the real main characters, at least for the volume.

Though I do share the hope that RT isn't deliberately trying to drag out the story for the sake of dragging it out or artificially trying to drum up hype. As I've said previously, sooner or later, for better or for worse, all fairytales have to end.

Well, here's a five second preview if you're interested.

Looks neat…. Also kind of glad to see Weiss in her original clothes, makes me wonder maybe this isn't present Weiss but a flashback from before Beacon, but that's just my thoughts…

Also I have the crippling suspicion that we aren't going to see any more of Penny from this season of Chibi….. last time we saw her was what? Episode 2? 3? I think Miles and Kerry really hates her….

I'm almost positive that it is a flashback. If I had to guess, it's most likely of Weiss leaving for Beacon for the first time, which melds into her leaving home for a second time.

Also, somewhat disappointed with today's RWBY Chibi.

Weiss's character short is now available. I'm glad that they were prompt about it this time, rather than waiting until two weeks before the season premiere.

Now that's what I call a deadly dance! Still nothing like Penny's tho…..

On a not RWBY related note tho:

This is RT's new show, and it quite looks interesting… I'm looking forward to it and if god wants it, it will be on when RWBY is off season, would give a reason to get that FIRST membership.

This is going to be somewhat of a strange question, but do you guys think Weiss's mother is still alive? If I had to give an answer, I'd have to go with no. We've seen her in a portrait, but there's been no actual mention of her, and I imagine she wouldn't be letting Jaques run rampant with her father's company if she still had a say in the matter.

OK never mind. Somebody else on another forum I post at mentioned Whitley saying something about "mother drinking in the garden." Reiterating the fact that I need to go back and rewatch the series at some point.

Y'know… I'll be honest… Ruby's trailer prior to V4 was showing her post-Beacon, and most of the volume show everyone trying to get to somewhere. Now this trailer is basically a flashback… and it gives me the feeling this Volume will be as less progress on the story as possible, and full on flashbacks and rememberings… I wouldn't like that much…

I for one wouldn't mind that as much. I've always felt that a big weakness of the series is it unwillingness to explore the past, whether it's of characters or of the world itself. I mean, the number of actual flashbacks we had through the series could probably be counted on one hand.

Okay since we need something to talk about…. And since the only topic comes to my mind is how Whitley and 9S look so similar…. I'm gonna stick the previous topic, flashbacks!

Sure some flashbacks are needed, here's a hefty list:
- Team STRQ
- Summer Rose
- Salem
- Ozpin
- Adam (I still believe the guy wasn't evil always but just snapped one day)
- White Fang
- The great old war
- Faunus rights revolution
- The world before hunters

Well if not just only flashbacks, something, a world of remnant or anything, but there are tons of questions we need answers for!

That is something that I've been saying literally since I began watching the series.

Shh! RT was busy so far creating new characters which never gets character development! This time maybe we see something from the past.

I hope so. The lack of world-building or exploration of the past is, in my own opinion, one of RWBY's biggest flaws. As I've said before, the past only ever seems to come up when it somehow becomes relevant to a character's immediate present.

There is kind of one exception to that rule though: the episode "The Beginning of he End." Even though it shows how Cinder recruited Emerald, Mercury, and the White Fang to her side, it's not really anything that needed an entire episode devoted to it. Looking back, it feels like it was filler made because RT wanted volume three to have 12 episodes, but didn't want to split the season finale into two parts.

The skit with Roman and Neo in today's RWBY Chibi was particularly amusing if you know how Neo was added to the series.

Oh right… there's a new Chibi episode… if it's gonna be like the last 5 or so episodes, I might drop this show…. Chibi of course…

I can't help but notice that this season seems to be much weaker than the first. Although to be honest, I can't tell if it's because of an actual drop in quality, or if RWBY Chibi was always this way, and we just didn't notice because we were too distracted by the aftermath of Vol. 3.

In my opinion, Chibi was never good, the only reason we liked the first season was cause V3 ended in a rather dark way compared to the rest of the Volumes, so we desperately needed something to distract us, but by V4 started we began to get used to the deaths, however since V4 was just let's say Journey to the East, minus actions and fun, it ended rather stale, so cause everyone was safe and nobody lost any limbs (except Tyrian but who cares for him really?), this Chibi season feels like a filler for the hiatus between the Volumes, rather than coping with deaths show, as used to be, thus we more likely to notice the boring, unfunny elements, some are straight up cringy. Of course not hopeless, there are some funny moments. But in overall feels terrible.

Now to some actual discussion:

About a month ago, I wasn't discussing how long the series might last on another site with a few people. We probably all remember Lindsay saying that the series would go on for another twenty volumes, but apparently, he storyline surrounding Ruby and her friends will eventually come to an end, and the story will move on to new characters, since "Remnant is a big place."

Now, this is unverified, and I won't discount the possibility of volume's being sent earlier in Remnant's history, but when I first heard this, I immediately concluded that Ruby's storyline would end in one of two ways. Either A: she takes down Cinder and her allies, but fails to deal with the real meat of the problem (i.e. Salem and the Grimm), or B: she confronts Salem… and she loses, requiring that someone else step up to finish the fight she started.

Now like I said, this is all based on unverified information and hearsay, but it's something I thought I'd share all the same, and I'd like to hear other peoples opinions on it

You act like there can't be multiple villains. After all, The Last Airbender didn't end with Aang losing his fight against Ozai, forcing Korra to fix everything.

I will admit that those were just my initial thoughts. Although, seeing that the main antagonist is seemingly the main driving intelligence behind the Grimm (until we get information to the contrary), it's hard to imagine there being an even greater antagonist coming into play. Unless they plan on having the cast fight gods.
