I suspect RT will at least toy with Lancaster, since they set it up so perfectly. If they take it slow, it could work. Or Jaune could get killed off just as they start becoming close. You know, to toughen Ruby up.

Oh I bet they will, I mean they hinted Bumblebee and White Rose, even maybe Nuts & Dolts, yet none of them became canon, yet! About Jaune dying, I'm pretty sure he will die some day, maybe not in Volume 4, maybe not even in Volume 5, but one day sure!
Alright…found this thread, saw a damn lot of posts, don't have the time or care to read them all so I'll just post my different thoughts on different things.
RWBY Vol.3 Soundtrack
-Neon: Blatantly ripped off Sonic Colors (K, not really, but it has the same feel).
-No "When It Falls – PaRTY GiRL Remix" or anything. I'm dissapointed.
-Can't decide between I'm the One, It's My Turn, or Divide as favorite song.
RWBY Chibi
Haven't watched it yet, still hoping it's not like Teen Titans GO.
Vol.4 predictions
-Ren will not die, RT doesn't have the guts. Nora, on the other hand, it's possible.
-Emerald will not join the good guys or become good. She is far too loyal to Cinder, and since Cinder is now more Frozen than Elsa up there in the tower, she will want revenge, especially against Ruby. Instead of a "redemption", she'll gain badassery, and take her ilusions to Aizen's (Bleach) levels at least.
-If the Animation team is smart, Ruby's fighting style, for a while, will be more aggresive and savage compared to previous volumes. Perfect use of "show, don't tell", which this show needs.
-Yang will keep treating her dad like shit, and gain a number of haters over the Volume.
-Taiyang will lose his patience at some point, but not just for that. If I'm lucky, it won't be used for a joke.
-Blake travels to Vacuo. She gains a hood. She won't know what to do and will have enough guilt to feed the kids in Africa.
-We find out that Weiss's dad is not as bad as she said, only overstressed and oppresive…for her sake. Kinda like Taiyang in a worst situation.
-Jaune will adopt Pyrrha's fighting style without the magnetism. After spending half the volume angsting.
-It's revealed really-strong faunus can turn into animals, Qrow being among them.
-A member of RNJR, likely Ruby, will meet Raven.
-RWBY will not come back together until at least the 2nd half of Vol.5.

Neo. Has RT finally said who she's based on? I remember back when everyone said she was based on the Cheshire Cat, even after RT themselves said she wasn't. In case RT hasn't said anything beyond that, I'll say this: She's based on Lupin. Arsène Lupin. The flawless disguises she uses are an obvious hint, so obvious I feel like an idiot for not realizing it sooner.
And in case anyone wants to object by using her personality, I'll say this: The characters's personalities are completely different from the ones of the people they're based on (which was deliberate). Compare Pyrrha's with Aquiles's, Nora's with Thor's, Cinder's with Cinderella's.

Well first of all, we have no evidence wether Cinder is still there or not. Secondly Neo's designed was based of off Roman's alternate design, but her personality can be based on Arsene Lupin.

Honestly, I don't think Jaune will die for a good while yet. Maybe in the very last volume or something, but for now he's the character that most people relate to, and so Roosterteeth is unlikely to kill him off. Hell, Jaune alone has about five thousand fanfictions made about him (Most of which transform him into the authors Mary Sue). Who the heck is the fandom going to use to replace him when he's gone? Neptune?
Neptune?! That's bad even for joke! Btw I'm not hating Jaune, just generally disliking him.
Okay dokey! I fiddled around the RT site and figured out, the schedules now work like this:
- Sponsors get episodes
- Non-sponsors with accounts (registered to site) gets it a day later
- People with no account get it a week later on RT site alongside with YT users
Solution: If do not or can't pay for sponsorship, and do not want to wait a whole week, you can still register for free at roosterteeth.com

1-I mentioned this to someone before elsewhere, but at the end, when Blake looks at the tower, look carefully at it. VERY carefully. You can see the wyvern easily, but right beside it there's a very tiny, thin, rather-humanoid figure equally frozen. I thought it was some rubble at first, but the shape looks anything but.
It's fine if you didn't see it though. I really mean it when I say you need to look carefully, I practically had to slam my eye against the screen to see it, and it was after someone else pointed it out to me.
2-Nope. Her design, appearance-wise, is based on a R63 of Roman. But that doesn't mean her character itself is. The character itself, is based on Arsène Lupin, and she even gives some hints. For example, she's a Master of Disguise (like back when we found out Twintails was Neo all along…), and just like Lupin, she's a criminal with elegance.
Personality-wise it's irrelevant. No character is really like their inspiration in terms of personality. Nora is nothing like Thor, Ruby is nothing like LRRH, Weiss is nothing like Snow White, and so on.
I will not go into that. It can be an animation error. As long as they don't say "yes that's Cinder" I say she's spending her time in some dark basement planning on how to get the next maiden power.

While I'm pretty sure she's probably off planning more evil things completely unfrozen, and that all Ruby's silver eyes did was make her retreat (Although if she is, I doubt she'll be around past season five), I like to pretend that she's still frozen and being used as a towel rack inside Professor Ports bathroom. The sense of schadenfreude for a character I hate is too much for me not to wish for that.
Penny wrote:

"Animation error"? How the actual hell does one make an animation error with something that doesn't involve animation in the slightest? It doesn't involve animation, it's not a 3D model either, it's a background drawing. "Animation error" my ass.
Besides that though, I really doubt that, if she wasn't frozen, Miles would keep going with the whole "find Maiden, take powers" idea. For starters, after getting the power of 1 Maiden, she kicked everyone's asses and only got defeated by the power of Deus Ex Machina. If she started getting more and more power, she would become truly unstoppable, which would make her defeat even more ridiculous.
And it would also get repetitive. I'd rather see her plan something else, if she happens to not be frozen.
I doubt that the maiden powers stack. Otherwise, what's to stop them from stacking naturally? I'm sure the whole history of Ramant, one of the maidens has wondered about the other maidens as their dying thought. If they did stack, it would forever break the whole 4 maidens thing as that maiden with double powers would pass them off to only one person.
On a side note: has it been confirmed or disproven that Blake is getting a new weapon? She didn't recover it after losing to Adam and didn't have it when Ruby saw her and Yang. I couldn't really tell if she had it when she was running along the rooftops right at the end, but I doubt it was there. So what's up with that? If she gets one, what do you think her new weapon will be like?
I think. There was somebody once in the history who tried to collect all 4 maiden powers, but the said powers are impossible for mere mortals to control, so she was ripped into 1000 bloody pieces by these powers. Neverless Cinder will think she can do it, and she will either succeed or fail.
About Blakey's weapon, dunno. Monty confirmed it back in time she will get a new weapon. But nothing above that.

Any news on when Crunchyroll gets access?

Probably same as sponsors. But I'm not sure. Will look into it.
Am i the only one who sees Jaune turning into Zuko v2.1. ? When ever there is something his Response will be "Phyrra!!!"
Example : Zuko and Jaune go to an Ice Cream shop . The Vendor asks them what Ice Cream They want. " I want an Ice Cream That Helps Me Capture the Avatar and RESTORE MY HONOR!!!" Zuko says. " Marpel Sirup Flavor…it was Phyrras Favorite… (Sobs uncotrollably)." Jaune says.
I doubt that'll be the case. I don't remember very well, but I don't think he even mentioned Phyrra when they picked up Ruby for their adventure.

Nah. Probably not. The fandom on the other hand…..

Well, considering recent events, it's understandable why he wouldn't, at that moment.
So…. I found this…
Well, that's… yeah…
Where did you find that?
I feel a shitstorm coming.

An old friend posted it on the RWBY wiki.
Honestly, I didn't expect it to be 36 pages long. I personally choose to believe and side with Shane, though I feel I must note that multiple things are likely exagerated. The letter also makes some things make more sense.
Like, all the questions. Ever since Vol.1, RWBY always felt incomplete for me. Many questions, never answered or only half-answered. Like what were the types of Dust? We know about Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Earth, but we've seen others that still haven't gotten an official name. Then comes the letter, and the lack of answers makes sense.

I… honestly don't know how to respond or feel about this…

I feel this has just pretty much sapped my respect for RT but I feel there is not enough information to make a proper judgement. I feel very conflicted about this whole thing.
I feel there may be a shitstorm brewing.

Knowing the internet and the fandom, that has to be the understatement of the century.
Anyways, I didn't really read the whole thing, but I read the intro. If i had to hazard a guess, I say it's the partial truth. Obviously, we don't know the view point of the RT higher ups. They likely have reasons for what they do, and maybe just didn't handle it right.
Also, Shane is playing the victim card pretty hard. Don't let that skew your thoughts. Lot of people these days glorify victims…

I'm a victim of Pyrrha! Glorify me! Also hate her!
But turning the word serious, I want to hear RT's point too before I judge anyone.
Okay to divert my thoughts from this controversy (2k16 gon be just like that roight?), I started to figure out the Dust colors and their effects. This is the information the RWBY wiki has:
- Wind or Air – A "primary" type of Dust, known to correspond to the green crescent shape.
- Fire – Fire is mentioned by Weiss Schnee in "The Shining Beacon" as a type of Dust. Miles states that red crystals are Fire Dust in the RWBY Volume 3 Live Stream.
- Water – Mentioned by Weiss in "The Shining Beacon"
- Lightning – Mentioned by Weiss in "The Shining Beacon"
- Ice – A "secondary" type of Dust, formed by the combination of Water and Air Dust.
- Steam – A "secondary" type of Dust, formed by the combination of Water and Fire Dust.
- Gravity
- Earth – Shown when Blake made a rock clone in "No Brakes".
Here's a picture of so far shown colors:
So far I've my thoughts, but curious what's yours guys?

Honestly, I'm going to assume that the creators will just make up different types of Dust as they go along, which is why they didn't explain it. If you have something that you can just add rules to as you go along (such as the fact that Blake was somehow able to combine Dust with her semblance), most storytellers won't try to get into the details of it, so that the fans wont be able to call bullsh*t on any Deus Ex Machina that occurs. I'm fine with it, personally, as long as they don't do something like "Oh no! Salem has defeated us! That means I'm going to have to use the fabled Rainbow Dust I randomly have, which can defeat any foe instantly!"

Oh! You mean Omni-Dust? It's actually pure glowing white and can only defeat Grimms. But we aren't even sure if it's exist.
In the first episode it's stated that dust is elemental based. "With Nature's wrath in hand, humanity lit the way through the darkness." So, as long as it's elemental, I'm ok with any kind of dust. Gravity is pushing it a bit as it's more out side the box than any of others, but I still like it. I think that things like Light and Dark dust wouldn't be ok.
Also, to answer Rantams question about Blake, Wiess used dust to change her semblance in her trailer.
As for why Blake has to shoot the dust to use it and Weiss doesn't, it's because of their weapon's design. Wiess is a mage and thus her rapier channels the dust very efficiently. Blake is a ninja and only needs to shoot things, leading very inefficient use of the dust rounds. Ruby and Yang could be able to use dust the same way as Blake too, by shooting it.
Is this making sense, or am I just rambling here?
@Penny: About the Dust, we know from WoR that the primary ones are Ice, Fire, Wind, Lightning, in colors Blue, Red/Orange, Green, Yellow. I've heard though that there were moments in Vol.3 where Wind Dust was shown with a White color instead of green. If true, that just makes things more annoyingly confusing.
Also, about Steam Dust: Back in Vol.2 Yang and Weiss made Steam by simply using Fire on Ice. No Water was involved (well, Ice is Water, but still).
And, we still don't know much else about Dust anyway. There are Dust types we don't know yet apparently exist. We don't know how Dust is made, or combined, for RT only gives evasives or non-answers. So frusfrating.
@Fallen: Just a head's up, when the W-Trailer was made, Dust was in it's "beta stage". Monty had not finished planning what Dust was, how it worked, what types there were, etc. Dust in the show is the final version, so there are differences between the show and the trailer's Dust. And as such, we can't really use the W-Trailer for Dust Theorizing.
Also, your logic for why Blake must shoot them and Weiss doesn't is rather wrong. Weiss's weapon is not a gun, the trigger channels the Dust into the weapon but doesn't shoot it. In fact, when she uses her Dust for "magic", she's actually using her Semblance with the Dust, either to just launch it somewhere with the Glyphs, or combine it with them.
Blake, meanwhile, uses an actual gun, so she can actually Shoot Dust if her ammo uses it. Or, she could do the same as Weiss, and combine her Semblance with the Dust. It's not that her weapon "channels Dust inneficiently", it's just that her weapon is an actual gun, Weiss's isn't.
Weiss still uses it in all fights so the overall idea is similar.
As for the weapons, yeah, that's what I was saying. Weiss's weapon channels it into her semblance while Blake's shoots it, both as for projectiles and use in her semblance. Neither of them do both.
During her fight with Roman, she shoots her gun to use the dust with her semblance.
Here's a gif: https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/853043-rwby
But it's rather shitty, so it might be better just to look at the episode again.
Weiss's weapon doesn't channel it into anything but itself. Imagine you got a fire stone in your pocket. You can use it to shoot fire without needing to grab it, or you can use it to channel the energy into your sword and make a firesword. That's how Weiss fights: Either use Dust through Myrtenaster, or use Dust with/through Semblance.
As for Blake…it doesn't look like she shoots them. There's no actual "shot" sound, and nothing during the fight shows any sign of Blake having shot something. But given she still goes through the different Dust elements with each clone, it could be either of these:
1) She just uses up the Dust randomly one by one to surprise Roman.
2) She consumed each whole Dust with each Dust clone, which sounds like bullshit because then Weiss would burn through her Dust muuuuuch faster than she ever does in the show.
If she shot the Dust, she wouldn't have the Dust with her anymore, thus would not be able to use it with her Semblance.
Actually I think no. 2 is the case. Blake just used up whole Dust to her clones. However my explanation why Weiss ain't running out of Dust so fast is cause of the Dust form. Weiss uses powdered Dust not crystal form, she probably needs less amount of Dust powder to pull out her tricks. Also she's trained Dust combatant, Blake usually not uses Dust that often, that means she maybe not enough trained to use Dust as efficiently as Weiss, meaning she wastes too much Dust.
The Dust Weiss gave Blake was powdered as well, so the form is irrelevant. Not that it wasn't irrelevant before anyway. It doesn't matter if it's crystal or powder, the amount of energy used stays the same.
And I seriously doubt Blake used that much Dust. Because if that's the case, she would've had to use it ALL in a single clone each. Which is too damn stupid and unbelievable. And if she used "too much" Dust the elemental energy in each clone would've have been much bigger than they appeared.
And I'm calling bullshit on the last point. This is Dust, elemental energy. There's no way to use it more "efficiently" other than using less energy, which means that the elemental attack made would be weaker.
Weiss, being the team's mage, uses lots of Dust all the time, in a far greater magnitude than Blake did with her clones. And yet, she can keep using it, it doesn't deplete in 1 shot. So why should we assume Blake, who clearly did not use as much Dust nor as frequently as Weiss does, did deplete each Dust in 1 use?
Actually, what you said, is complete bullshit. Powdered Dust is far more reactive and powerful than in crystal form, if you remember Roman had to use a whole Fire dust crystal to trigger an explosion the same size of explosion was caused by a small amount of Powdered Fire Dust Ruby happen to sneezed on when she first met with Weiss. Besides Weiss maybe often "reloads" just to keep the combat scenes fluid, they don't show this, honestly who would care about Weiss reloading Myrtenaster? Unless it is for dramatic reasons, no one. And anyway there are better things to disscuss about Dust than how much Dust Blake uses in her clones.
Just watched RWBY Chibi episode 2.
And I have to say. I had my doubts since I only found half of episode 1 funny, but now those doubts are gone. Episode 2 was completely funny.
For those that haven't seen it yet.
I'll leave this link here.

So, on the social media celebs season of The Amazing Race, Burnie Burns and Ashley Jenkins befriended some of their opponents such as Zach King, Tyler Oakley, and Cole LaBrant. How would you feel if RT got some of these contestants to voice future characters?

I have no idea who they are, so it wouldn't affect me too much, as long as they are good VAs I don't care.

I honestly don't care who becomes a VA. A voice is a voice, and if they do their character well then that's all I ask.

The question is can RT replicate/exceed the epic action levels of the fight scene properly? Also, Scarlet needs to be Grif. (Kinda fitting as he's named after a shade of red…)
Nah, Scarlet must be Donut. "Is there something on my head? It's a spider right?!"
