Red Sun, ftw.
Unfortunately, I don't think Michael really watches RWBY, despite being in it. I could be wrong though.
No clue about Lindsay.
I'm sure they all watch it. Gotta check your work and all. But I will bet they are not deep into it as we are. After all, they do have jobs and soon an little one to take care of.

Of course they watch it. Somebody has to go back and fix the animation mistakes, after all.
So, new World of Remnant episode this week. Which part of what we leaned from it do you think will become relevant in the next episode?
Oh snap. This WoR just cemented it for me. Alright. Theory and prediction dump time. When the King of Vale curb stomped everyone, the show focused on his sword work, and NOT the 'scepter' that he did have, But that wasn't just a simple scepter, it was one of the ARTIFACT! He opened up one of the 4 relics and crushed the bad guys dead. The king in turn made the academy so the relics can't be taken, But ozpin was a smart one. He had it redone so the KEY and staff would be there when they fell.
But now that Ozpin is 'dead' and Qrow has the artifact. He WOULD give it to either Jaune or Ruby this time, More so to fight off this super Grimm.
So the sword is most definitely Croceus Mors, right? I'm pretty sure it may have been stolen by Jaune's ancestors (Like the original owned by Julius Caesar), but unlike the real life legends, where the original owner got it back, he ended up keeping it, passing it down his bloodline until it got to Jaune.

So you say Jaune and his family are just thieves not heroes? So like the Brando family? Jaune is Dio?!
In other news. I expect Qrow to reveal he's Ruby's father before he dies! Yes that's still my headcanon.
Exactly. Think of what it will do for Jaune to find out he doesn't have a great legacy. His family got powerful (-ish, not anymore probably) from lying, cheating and stealing. I mean, he even did it himself, lying and cheating his way into Beacon.
Of course, in the end it should only strengthen his resolve, but before then it seems like good angst fuel.

So, what you're saying is; Jaune is Good Guy Roman Torchwick?
This is a relatively minor thing, but something stuck out to me in the last WoR episode. If I remember right, part of the reason Atlas and Mistral lost the battle in Vacuo was because of poor weather conditions. And, from what little we've seen, the Four Maidens seem to have weather manipulation in their repertoire of powers. Is it possible that the King of Vale enlisted the help of one of the Maidens to secure victory?

You dare to accuse the mighty King of Vale with cheating?! But yeah plausible…

I doubt the maidens had anything to do with it. It might have been one of the relics being used much like the Atom Bomb was used to end WW2. Remember the WoR said the King went into battle with only a sword and a 'scepter'. That 'scepter' is likely the one and the same as Ozpin's cane/weapon.
Apparently, RWBY: Grimm Eclipse was released for the PS4 and Xbox One today, if anyone still cares about it.
Also, unrelated, but I could've sworn that the last episode was also called Chapter 10. Was there a miscount, or am I just losing my mind?

So, four years, three volumes, and ten episodes into the series, Ren and Nora (though mostly Ren) finally get some much-needed, long-overdue backstory expansion. Though I have to wonder, why now, two episodes before the season finale? I would chalk it up to the series' problem of only bringing up the past when it becomes relevant to the immediate present, but I'm not so sure. Also, unrelated, but I could've sworn that the last episode was also called Chapter 10. No RT confirmed this volume also end with 12 chapters.

So, place your bets on who dies in two weeks.

I consider anybody who isn't a villain and who doesn't have their first initial as part of the series title to be fair game. Though if I really had to place bets on who bites it, my money would be on Qrow, Kali, and Ghira.
If any of the main characters die, it'll definitely be Ren. You don't just give a full backstory and expect to live.
I'd honestly be surprised if Qrow lives, and I think if someone from JNR had to die it would be Ren.
I'd say that Sun is also in a pretty bad spot to be.
I bet for Sun, Rooster Teeth it's targeting ship members and people loved by the FNDM. Currently Sun is the one who has both requirements.

Keeping the new tradition of RWBYtber or what?
With my luck, It'll be me. They won't kill off Ren due to Monty's connection.

I would actually love that. Not as in "I would be happy" but as in "This just created a death just as tragic as Kamina". Everyone thinks Ten is going to die, but in reality he gets shielded by Jaune, who gets impaled by the Nuka-whatever's arm.
To increase the tragedy, make it do that Ozpin's plan heavily involved him, and with his death now he has no clue how to win against Salem.
But seriously, though. If Monty wrote that Ren would die (which he might, he was only written in to give Jaune a team according to Monty) then they would probably kill him off in an awesome manner.
Looks like Taiyang has just made an account here.
I think we can safely say, Cinder just realized she's on the baddies side. Congratulation Cinder, your perception is amazing! And all you had to do is loose an eye for this improvement how ironic!
Whitley the Shitley did not show his smug around to prevent or taunt her sister in escaping. But now we finally see some badass side of Ironwood! He's my daddy for a good reason! Though locking the borders seem like a bold step…..
Also hurray Team RNJR reunion! And once again RT shows they can make their chars do stupid decisions which won't last long and only to make us think about the show and future events! Hmm…. maybe not so stupid decision afterall….
Also thank god Blake finally decided to do something above running away! Let's see how that turns out.
I'm waiting for your bets! Does Yang will arrive in Kuroyuri to save team RNJR from plot-death faster than they arrived there? I mean Yang is on patch with a bike, and RNJR is near Haven.
And for the last questions. Will Weiss escape before they close the borders? Will Yang arrive in this Volume or the next? Will Kali suc-…. hmm? That question isn't good to ask? What? …… Young audience? Oh…. Well that's it for now! Don't forget! Next week all will conclude! Who will die? Who will live? And how the hell can villains travel faster than the heroes when both has the same transportation options only? See ya next Saturday!

Danm. The roleplayers are just coming out of the woodwork. Not that i mind. In fact, i actually kind of like it. Mostly because it makes me nostalgic for the glory days of the Know Your Meme Undertale fandom.
On that note, when is somebody going to make a second Penny account?

You mean beside my evil twin? Who appears to be out of batteries? Never!

Hell no! Let's have seven Yangs instead! I don't wanna end up with 7 o' mes, people already have problem with me RP-ing Penny! Let alone 7…

Seven Yang's? That would be pretty interesting, Although personally i would rather have 6 Ruby's. That way we can ship each one of them with a different potential love interest.

On the other hand, if we get three more Pennys, we'll have a nickel.

Danmit. I was looking for that pun. Curse my lack of knowledge regarding English currency names.

PSA: A-Train banned from RWBY thread. Reason: No puns allowed!

Also I forgot to mention. Ironwood right now.
(Now excuse me while I pore through the pages of the thread looking for rules pertaining to punning.)
(EDIT: Also, I thought the same thing during that scene.)
Wouldn't seven Pennys be at least one dollar and seventy five cents because Penny got turned into quarters.
So, season finale next week. Do you guys think it will be another 30-minute one like it was in the last volume?
In any case, we can most likely be assured… that the finale won't answer any of the questions that we as the audience would want to have answered. And I'm not just talking about the obligatory end-of-season cliffhanger, either.
I know everybody has death flags out for Ren, but I don't think he'll die. I'm sure they'll get beat up, and Qrow may be killed using the last of his strength to save everyone, but having Ren be killed by the same monster that killed his family would be too much, I think. At the very least they have to kill each other at the same time or something.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple of explosions in the fight that end up being noticed by Winter, who ends up evacuating them in a bullhead before getting the f*ck out.
Also, I think the finale will be everyone arriving in Mistral, but not actually meeting, just so we can't have our awesome RWBY-union. I just have a question, though… Yang is taking her bike, which means she can drive on a road to wherever she's going (After taking a ferry off Patch, of course)… Why didn't JNPR take the road? Hell, why isn't there a bus service? Or a train? Yes, communications are down, but I'm sure you could just run messages with the transport. I feel like most people don't walk through the super-dangerous roads to get to Mistral,

I think Neo was dressed up as Penny twice before (Once for Halloween, once for her insane costume switches). Does that count?

I think- and bear in mind, this is merely speculation- that all the Grimm roaming around the countryside killing and maiming humans and destroying their creations probably puts a damper on any sort of overland travel.

Still, you would think that they could just hire some hunters to chill on a bus or train whenever it's going off. I mean, how else did everyone get to Vale for the Vytal tournament?

I would assume that those massive airships that we've occasionally seen throughout the series serve a purpose other than just to look nice in establishing shots.

In that case why not just take one of them? Only Atlas has an embargo right now, I'm sure that Qrow could have paid for RNJR to use one rather than wander around the woods for 6-8 months.

Atlas is the only kingdom explicitly stated to have an embargo- while it wasn't stated, I would assume that Vacuo and Mistral probably have something similar in place. Chances are, if there was an easier way for RNJR to reach their destination, they would've taken it.
