💩💩🗑️ (two poop emojis and one trash emoji), also known as Doo-doo Garbage, is a degrading nickname given to rapper DDG in June 2023 by YouTuber SoLLUMINATI. The viral nickname sparked memes and discourse in the following days, specifically after Twitter users discovered that searching "💩💩" on Spotify would bring up results for DDG.

Origin

Starting in 2019, YouTuber SoLLUMINATI and rapper DDG started an apparent feud that culminated in various YouTube^[1] videos. Other than being a rapper, DDG is also a YouTuber, known on his channel PontiacMadeDDG VLOGS.^[2]

On June 26th, 2023, SoLLUMINATI posted a video to his secondary YouTube,^[3] TWITCH So, titled "DDG MUST BE STOPPED!! 😈" in which he started the video calling DDG "Doo-doo Garbage" in reference to the initials of his moniker. He further urged his fans to write "💩💩🗑️" when speaking about DDG online. Over the course of two days, the video gained roughly 600,200 views and 59,000 likes (shown below).

In the days that followed, clips from the video started to go viral on other platforms such as Twitter. For instance, later on June 26th, 2023, Twitter^[4] user @killdevinox tweeted a clip, captioning it, "solluminati gives ddg a new name 💩💩🗑️," and gaining roughly 36,800 likes in two days (shown below).

On June 28th, 2023, the Twitter^[5] account @STRAPPEDUS tweeted a screenshot from the Spotify app showing the search bar reading, "💩💩" and the results being DDG's artist profile. The tweet gained roughly 12,800 likes in one day (shown below, left). Word of the search query soon spread on Twitter, garnering more viral tweets. For instance, later on June 28th, Twitter^[6] user @domainsdomain tweeted, "Sollumanti must know some ppl at Spotify😭😭this is wild asf," gaining roughly 14,000 likes in one day (shown below, right).

Multiple Twitter^[7] users started to purport the rumor going into late June 2023, additionally garnering reactions on Instagram.^[8]
