The Princess And The Frog is an animated film released in 2009 by Walt Disney Studios. The film has amassed a fan following, and has led to several memes.

Origin

The film's trailer was posted by Walt Disney Studios to their official YouTube channel on September 11th, 2009 (shown below). The film would release in theatres in the United States on December 11th, 2009.^[1]

The film's story is roughly based on the Grimm's Fairy Tale of The Frog Prince^[2], as well as the 2002 novel The Frog Princess.^[3] The film takes place in 1920's New Orleans.

Disney Theme Park Ride

On July 25th, 2020, Disney Parks announced on their Twitter channel that their Splash Mountain ride would be reworked to fit the theme of The Princess and the Frog (shown below). The reworked ride is set to open in 2024 as Tiana's Bayou Adventure.^[4]^[5]
