Dr. Facilier Gets Dragged To Hell, also known as Are You Ready? is an exploitable scene from the 2009 Disney film The Princess and the Frog.^[1] The meme captions the scene with various scenarios or replaces the characters with ones from other popular media.

Origin

The scene comes at the film's climax in which Dr. Facilier corners Tiana after she attempts to steal the talisman he used to disguise himself as Prince Naveen in a plot to take over New Orleans.^[2] After failing to make a deal with Tiana that would make her dream come true of owning her own restaurant, Facilier turns her back into a frog. However, even as a frog, she is able to take back the talisman and shatter it on the ground. The shattering of the talisman causes his "Friends On The Other Side" to appear as he could no longer fulfill his end of his deal with them, and they proceed to drag him into a portal to the "Other Side" which ends with a visage of his horrified face appearing on a mausoleum with his name carved under it (scene shown below).

On September 19th, 2020, YouTube user Gamerduck^[3] posted a video that replaces Facilier's "Friends On The Other Side" with crewmates from Among Us, and changes the scene to be an "Emergency Meeting" from the game. The video (shown below) received over 68,000 views in over two years.

On May 11th, 2022, Tiktok user thelegendarymackjam^[4] posted an edit of the video with the caption "2002 kids when they're about to turn 20", with Facilier labeled as "2002 kids" and the portal labeled "adulthood". The video (shown below) received over 1.1 million views and over 162,000 likes in over four months.

On September 18th, 2022, YouTube user TheHottest Dog^[5] posted a Source Filmmaker video that recreated the scene using characters and assets from Five Nights At Freddy's. The video (shown below) received over 104,000 views in over one week.

Twitter Captions

The scene was first used on Twitter as a video caption meme on September 8th, 2022, when Twitter user naisu9k^[6] posted a caption of ""peacefully" she went out like this" in response to the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The captioned video (shown below) received over 167,000 views and over 32,000 likes in over three weeks.

Other Twitter users quickly followed up with their own captions. On September 10th, 2022, Twitter user PanKakePandK^[7] posted the video with the caption "EXE creators being dragged to hell for bringing Lightning McQueen fart fetish into the universe:". The video (shown below) received over 920,000 views and over 18,000 likes in over two weeks.

On September 21st, 2022, Twitter user SpudBug__^[8] posted the video with the caption "artist being forced into drawing furry porn to afford apartment rent:". The video (shown below) received over 613,000 views and over 65,000 likes in less than one week.
